There were 6 triple plays in D-3 this season.
One poster on another board wondered if one player has ever hit for the infamous "Cycle", i.e., a triple play, a double play, a single out. One might add a strikeout to make it a "quadricycle". Two players hit for the "tri-cycle". I don't know what other name we can give it, but please make suggestions.
In the first game of the DH with North Central IL on March 21, 2014, St Norbert 3B Derek Klegin hit into the triple play plus 2 K's and a single.

How about the Anti Cycle... or Out Cycle
Not sure what the right name would be.
I put the list of 2014 triple plays back on D3baseball.com if you want to see the video of 5 of 6.

On Day #1 in the 2017 Regionals, we have had two triple plays.
In Tyler ("West Regional"), Cal Lutheran got a "walk-off" Triple Play on Concordia Texas (CTX). CTX had runners on 1st and 2nd, trailing 6-3 in the top of the 9th. A liner to the SS was converted quickly to preserve the first round win.
Here is the video link on the Day 1 Regional page for the Alvernia Triple Play against RIT.
