How many bad snaps today? I think it was a 35 yard turnover on the last one.

UMHB blew that game.

The rematch worked out ok for the Cru in 2004.  Hope it does again!

Thanks, 2001, I was not sure when The CRU reported for workouts. It will be interesting to see how things shake out, especially at QB.

Kelly, don't you think Zach Anderson will be the QB.

Taking nothing away from TLU at all, the Bulldogs played well and Barrolle is a quality back, but this was far and away the worst performance by a CRU defense in many a day - especially the line. Teams don't normally rush for 200 yards against UMHB, much less one player.

Hats off to the TLU coaching staff.  To get beat like they did in Seguin and come back with the performance this weekend is outstanding.  They had a plan and stuck with it.  I think they caught the Cru at the right time, with the right conditions, and the right plan.

Only 4 home games for UMHB?  :o

Six last season - evens out over time.
and 4 the year before. I wonder if there there may have been some intent to maximize the Cruthedral in its first year.

Ralph, that would be my guess  ;D

That is what they wanted. With last year being the first year of the CRUthedral, coach Fred and the Head Honchos wanted to have as many games at home as possible during the regular season to give alumni lots of chances to come back to see it and build the atmosphere with students for years to come.

I suspect it has more to do with difficulty in scheduling teams.  I don't think too many want to come to Belton.

Whitewater had 4 3rd down conversions in the 3rd quarter, but none in the 4th until the drive after our last field goal.  I can see why they might think we would get the ball back with a chance to kick the field goal.

Whitewater had the ball for 34:31 in the game, probably because they converted 10-18 3rd downs.  In the 3rd quarter, Whitewater had the ball for 10:42.

We all have the benefit of deciding what should have been called with much more time than the coaching staff.  That being said, I thought the key play was going to the shotgun on 1st and goal at the 4.  Plus, we switched QBs.  We started that drive at the 20 and Miller, the fullback made 16 yards on 3 straight carries. Running out of the I.  Might have been a good idea to try that again or give it to Hudson up the middle.  ;)

The FG call was just bizarre.  As UWW showed, ONE first down was all they needed to effectively end the game.  If you have THAT much faith in your defense, STILL go for it.  If you don't get the TD, UWW takes over so deep in their own territory that you might get the safety, in which case now you get the ball back where a FG would win the game.

I just cannot understand the reasoning behind that call.

Especially after calling a time out.
