Klompen  ( Man I can't stand wooden shoes)
What gives?  We've been picking on them with jokes all week, no replies, no "we're going to show them attitude".  Nothing.  I think Simpson is the new Cornell.  Makes me wonder how long Coach G will be around.  Any speculation?

I think Coach Glo will be fine,  mine has moved on so not chasing Storm as closely this year but it appears they are trying to groom the youngsters for the future.  As often happens the entirely new staff took a bit of a recruiting hit especially that first year.  Upper classman representation is pretty thin this year so lots of newbies seeing more time than would normally be expected. My son loved playing for Glo and the passion will return but you have to have the horses (3 year olds and up) in the barn - still running too many yearlings.

Hey Storm..   Your son must be the exception when it comes to coach Glo cause I have heard that a bunch of the guys from last years team and this years upper upperclassman (non-Glo recruits) aren't big fans of him.  I was told that he and the rest of his staff won't acknowledge kids that he hasn't recruited and that they shouldn't expect to see the field much.  I don't think he realizes that at the D3 level the upperclassman are a big part of the recruiting process and they aren't going to help recruit kids if they don't like the coach.  Sure he is brining in a ton of kids and numbers are great but you can't make chicken soup out of chicken sh*t.  Also, I think it is funny that the best year Glo has had was his first year when the team was all kids that Neiman recruited.  I guess we will see what happens....

I haven't been on the board in a long time but just heard something about Simpson football that I was hoping to get some insight on.  What are Storm fans opinion of Glogowski as a coach?  He is in his 3rd season so he has a large group of his own kids in the program and it is looking a lot like last season.  Just curious if anyone knew anything about whats going on down there?

I was at the Tyler Molstre show against BV.  I was standing on the sidelines that game as a high school senior.  I was shadowing one the the Wartburg student trainers and the fumble just before the 22 yard Molstre td run happened 10 yds in front of me.  It was an awesome experience on that sideline that day... one of my best memories as a Knight even before I became a Knight....

D2: GVSU
D1: Hawkeyes
Pro: I hate pro football

Beer: I have come to appreciate all beer since moving to Colorado.... I would have to go with a local CO brew and say either 808 (which is brewed 6 blocks from where I live) or Easy Street (brewed in Ft. Collins).

As far as scrimmages go...  Simpson is scrimmaging Graceland next weekend....

As far as the Farve thing....  eh... who cares...  anyone willing to guess how many picks he throws this year???

With the pre-season publications coming out with rankings and such would anyone be interested in putting together a Pre-Season All IIAC Team?

Hey Stormchaser... I have heard the same thing about transfers numbers being up.   My little brother is re-joining the team this fall and it sounds like numbers should be up in Indianola.  He was making it sound like they are going to be pretty young this year as well....  its been sometime since I have followed IIAC football but will be doing so this year!!

Go Knights!!!

and I guess Simpson....     ;)

From what I have heard it isnt just some of the older guys that are upset about Niemann leaving.  There are a bunch of young guys who don't like the idea of Niemann leaving and Lounsberry taking over as the HC.  I still think that Simpson should bring in someone who is not on staff already and start fresh.  Plus, from the two Simpson games that I went to as well as the post game reports that I received from a couple of others, Lounsberry couldnt run an offense very well, so how would he really do running an entire team??  These are just my thoughts.....

The Niemann thing is for sure..he is done.  I have heard that a bunch of players are not happy with the idea that Lounsberry could be the HC.

Walston:  The LB that is 5'6...if you stretch him out.... is Gerardy

Also don't know if this has been posted yet but I heard from a pretty good source that Niemann was asked to resign yesterday...also heard that the front runner for his replacement is Walston Hoover :)

Thank you to everyone who responded to my question....Now Good Luck Dutch make some noise so we can perhaps someday have two teams from our league make the playoffs.
