Is that the St Vincent practice facility that is being used by the Steelers that one sees in the August 8th Sports Illustrated?
Yes, sir. Not a bad deal. Plus, free advertising!

Anybody have a valid link for the Bridgewater game. All I've tried don't work.
Nevermind, It finally came up.
new program... they didn't know you had to hit "start feed" in 2 different spots for it to actually start. something similar to the 2 keys at the same time for the lock to the vault.

BC's 2010 non conference schedule
9/4 at St. Vincent
there's a facebook event set up by Nik Reese for our game this year. I'm also setting one up on our SVC FB Group page. Stone Station is always welcome. I believe Momma Colbert will be helping set that up.
Looking forward to it!

it was easy to miss, as it was 2 bad teams playing football, but the feat was still significant:
St. Vincent College @ Gallaudet in Week 2. Both teams were 2nd year programs (officially), with a shared history of having SVC--and former Gallaudet--Head Coach Bob Colbert 35 years apart. Gallaudet was up 20-3 at halftime and the Bearcats came back to win 23-22 for their first win in 46 years. The game ended wildly on a recovered fumble inside Bearcat territory

Congrats and best of luck to both of the PAC teams in the playoffs this year. Having 2 teams from our conference in the playoffs is great. Thomas More is a strong and fast team and should turn some heads. W&J playing CNU is relatively familiar territory. Coach Kelchner has done a great job building that team, and Coach Sirriani continues to field successful teams. Rumor is Coach Tomlin will have some words for the Captains on Friday. He spoke to our team during the preseason, and he is a very talented speaker. Good luck to all involved

re: recruiting
coaches cannot comment on prospective athletes until they have signed their L.O.I., or in d3's case, paid their (room) deposit securing their spot in the freshman class. kids can say their coming, "commit", at any time. their deposit is their LOI in our case. for comparison, we have 13 recruits that have paid their deposits, and several more have "committed", saying they'll join us in the fall. April is when most of the deposits come in since Financial Aid packets usually don't go out til mid feb-march. many schools set a deadline to pay; i think ours is may 1.
of course, in d3, paying a deposit doesn't guarantee the kid will show up on report date, let alone be on the roster for the first game. we had a few pay deposits last year and not show up for camp (one of mine got a track scholarship to UC-Davis mid summer). the fun part of d3 recruiting is having a kid say "coach i want to play for you guys at ________, but _________ is giving me a much better financial aid package so i'm going there."

i could be wrong, but i think i remember back when arruza was hired at r-mc that he wasn't very popular around the campus and community. i think i remember a lot of players-alumni etc saying it was a bad hire... again, i vaguely remember this. but if so, you think he's still unpopular?
