Here is a question, and maybe I am reading way to much into this. I went to the Central website to check out their football facilities, to see some pictures of the new field/track/stadium. All of the links say that this page is currently unavailable. Here is my question, is this coincidence, or is Central keeping Olivet in the dark of what the facilities look like? Also, would Central gain any kind of advantage by keeping Olivet in the dark???

Football buddy, wow!
3 out of 5, 5 out of 7. Sorry, it does'nt work that way in football. You get one shot and now you have to live with it.

Central won, wartburg lost. That's it. If if's and but's were candy and nuts we'd all have a merry christmas. Let it go wartburg fans.
Good luck Central in the playoffs.

Somebody explain to me about this suckow kid. He was at Coe and transfered to Wartburg for his senior season? I don't get it. This is d3 football, it's not like he was trying to set himself up for the nfl or something. Was he unhappy at coe, and if so, how come??? I played 4 years at Central in the early 90's and my best friends to this day were my teammates. There is no way possible I would have left my friends and teammates my senior season. I don't understand this thinking. Can somebody shed some light on this for me??

Luck of the Dutch??? Why does that guy keep saying that? Sounds like a poor sport to me. When you win 29, yes, 29 Iowa conference titles and finish no worse than 2nd in 27 of the last 28 seasons, that would be a solid program, not luck. Have you ever noticed that the better you are the luckier you are?

26 of the past 27 years Central has finished 1st or second in the Iowa conference!!!
And who ever said it was correct, Wartburg is a music school. They have a very strong choir, much better than Centrals, so congratulations on that as well.

Simpson downs Loras by a dozen
Wartburg squeaks by Cornell because of missed extra point
BV all over Dubuque - 20 or more
Central cruises past Coe by 17

Warthog, great point about 6-4 being mediocre. I guess that is just the difference in expectations between Central, Wartburg, and the rest of the conference. When Luther finishes 6-4 they are on their way up and people expect great things from them. If Central or wartburg finish 6-4 you would think the sky is falling. I knew a couple of players from Coe the past few years that have conference champion rings. To me that is ridiculas. When I played at Central that was the expectation, not the goal. We were not rewarded for doing what we were supposed to do..

Is Wartburg headed back to mediocrity in the Iowa conferece? They had a couple good years, but will they stay there? I am not familiar with their new coach or the players they have coming back. Let me know what you think of Wartburgs staying power.
My sources tell me that Coe, Central, and Luther are the favorites this year. What does everyone else think?

Great job Dutch!!! Take care of business next week and maybe you'll get a rematch with Coe. Remember the poll at the start of the year asking who would be a bigger surprise to win the conference and Central was a team listed? Remember when people on this site picked luther and dubuque, and loras, to beat Central this year. The more things change, the more they stay the same. 26 conference titles and with a win next week that makes 27. Picked to take 5th in the conference? Yeah right.
