Sorry BC, I was mistaken about Mcdaniel.  I guess when you are as successful as you have been it is hard to find opponents.
Good Luck.  I hope EHC can do the ODAC proud against the OAC this week.  If they get blown out and then compete in the ODAC it could spell bad things for two teams going to the post season.
52 Days till we meet you by the tracks.

Greetings OAC,
Anybody have any insight on Marietta this year?  We are driving up from Richmond, VA to watch the wasps play the pioneers and would like to know what we will be seeing?  I saw they have a good running back in Wagner.  Anything else you can tell me about the field, tailgating, the Team would be appreciated.

Congrats B.C. Guys-

You have every right to be proud of your success.  We have every right to be hopeful for our future which we haven't been for a few years.  No matter how much we disdain the Eagles, we will always appreciate you kicking the poo out of HSC.  I hope you beat them by 100 points and Ricca pees down his leg again.

Best Player in the ODAC-Don't count out the Woods kid.  He did throw for 3000+ and 25 TD's as a Sophomore.  He did most of that playing from behind by multiple scores last year.  Hopefully that won't happen as much.  Still he gets this vote.

Good Luck this week E&H.
Good Luck vs. Mcdaniel BC nothing like hanging 50 on a club team to get you off on the right foot.

E H Dad
The O Line looked pretty good, Bigger than what you usually see.  They gave up a couple touch sacks, but one was very questionable.  I talked with some people in the know and they said that they had a couple lapses and a couple losses but for the most part they played well.
I hear there are a few young kids that can help out this year.

EHC Tailgate
Big Fan of Beer Can Grilled Eagle with Bacon Barbecue sauce.
Haven't had it in a while though.   Look forward to meeting all you BC guys.

I thought E&H looked good, they didn't run the ball much.  But with T Woods the pass looked good.  It looked as if the wasps could have scored a lot more than they did.  They had a couple picks given up, put had a couple as well.
Defense was much improved.  Averett was 6-4 last year and was returning 10 of 11 starters on D.  So putting seven TD's on the board in what looked like about 2 1/2 quarters is good.
Marietta is no Averett though.  So next week will be a big time test.
No injuries of note.
Go Wasps.

Miz this is a message board: which breeds speculation.  When I said Guilfords new program I meant new Coach. Sorry

I agree however that there needs to be more of a financial committment and much more from several institutions to make this a more solid football conference.  The other conferences are coming on strong and may dilute the talent that the ODAC gets.   Bridgewater is doing it with solid recruiting, Good Coaching and getting players that want to play football.  Division III athletes are a different breed than most.  90% of them are kids that just want to keep playing ball somewhere.  They work hard and make themselves better.  The other 10% are studs than have fallen thru the cracks for a number of reasons(IE J. Taylor Bridgewater, Junior Lord Guilford etc.)  To win DIII games you must have both.  All the ODAC schools are private and very expensive.  Most to my knowledge are very good schools. CNU is a state school making it a lot cheaper.  They are near the beach where there is a greater talent pool than around most ODAC schools.

I don't believe that any program can turn around over night.  Nor did I say that.  Players win games, but at this level Coaches make a greater difference in motivating the non-scholarship athletes, recruiting, and X's and O's.

Miz is right E&H and several other ODAC schools got caught  in the stone age.  When they come out of it the football should be better.

The repetitive notes about the last five years-blah blah blah-Most of these schools have been playing for close to a hundred years.  The last five were dominated by Bridgewater, the rest of the century produced a lot of good football teams in this conference.

For the Record If Bridgewater gets the Bid we at E&H will be rooting for them in the Playoffs as we should.  But till then I hope they lose every game.

Thanks for clearing up the Ricca rumor Kid
There seems to be some knowledgeable folks on this site.

Anyone know anything about Guilfords new program?

I recently heard that Roanoke college is starting a football program next year?  Anyone else hear that?

Has BC decided on a QB?

Great Web site I just found it.
It is good to see that there are alot more ODAC posts than any other conference in the South Region

Lots of Bridgewater fans I see.  Good luck to you.  It is hard being on the top I hope the team and its fans handle their success as well as they handled their lack of it previous.
I think calling EHC the Butthole of the State might be a little harsh.  Also, Calling someone queer for a post that you may not agree is not cool.
Either way, Enjoy your success as long as it lasts.  As we know at EHC it is bitter when it ends.  Hopefully they  will get the program turned around so there is a little more competition for BC.

I heard a rumor that HSC lost the QB Ricca for the year.  Anyone else heard that? :o
