Hell Y-E-S! Nice work Tommies! Getting it done up there on their homecoming was a tall task-nice work.

Getting it Done??....I guess you could say they accomplished their task [Earning a W], but that wasn't exactly the thrashing the mighty Toms were supposed to come away with.

Once again props to the Tommies for the win, but you'll have to wait 14 more years to get another one. .....Oh yeah, and dont worry about Christmas presents this year either, cuz Santa just came early for the Tommies.

Wow......27-26....and the difference is a missed PAT, it seems only fair that the Tommies steal one every 10-15 years but that just broke my heart...and watching it from the computer while working only made it worse....

Congrats to the Toms, I guess you earned this one..........................maybe???   :P

DP was right on five or six pages ago - I don't have any connections anymore at Hamline. Former SID Troy Mallat is gone. So is DOB. I don't think I've seen a game in 1 1/2 years and that was only because I was covering a Hutch player breaking the women's scoring record at GAC.

I thought Kyle Foster scrapped together another year of eligiblility.... ;D   That would be a connection.....

Roster update:  Unless my aging eyes are failing me (which is entirely possible  ???) I thought I saw Todd Herman on the Johnnie bench last night.  Yet today when I looked at the SJU roster his name is no longer listed.

VOJ, Watchman, Sum any idea what's going on? If he's out for the year, I'll have to revise my Johnnies forecast. They'll still be a team to contend with, just a little less dangerous.

DP- I'll do a little investigating.... maybe open my ears up at Sal's this week and see what the buzz around Johnnieville is!

Me thinks VOJ, like many, enjoys pushing the buttons of certain UMAC posters.  ;D

Good call, too many Hamm's this weekend, I wasn't reading the dialogue correctly!  ;D

VOJ- I am sensing that the UMAC is a touchy subject for you....I think the UMAC posters just like to push your buttons!  ;D

Hello......

My name is the miacwatchmen. I am trying to find my way. It has been awhile since I've been around these parts!!

Good to see some of the old faces... and a few new ones... I think I might make an appearance or two this year... that is if no one opposes it.

Auggies over Pipers for the MIAC title this year..  ;)   ;D

Until next time.... + K

To those who have a passing interest or more in D1 hoops, Duke just beat NC State 87-86 after being down by 8-10 points most of the 2nd half.  ;D

I hope he doesn't have to become agitated again tomorrow because that will mean the Tommies are getting away with their shenanigans.
Having seen them play a few games this year, I can't see where the shenanigan complaints are coming from.  Seems to me that they are just playing tough, in your face defense, very similar to what most good D1 teams try to play.  Is the MIAC supposed to be a more gentlemanly league?  Will watch the play off the ball today to see if I can tell what you are complaining about.  Admit I do have a tendency to watch the ball most of the time.

BBTommie - those are the words of an embittered, spiteful, resentful Gustie supporter.  Did I mention he doesn't like UST?   ;) Willy dislikes all things purple & white, unless you take into account his unusual support of Jessica Katch from UST for league MVP in women's basketball.

Instead of shenanigans, I prefer the phrase – performance art.  ::) Willy is primarily referring to the antics of #5 - Teddy Archer.  Archer is quickly becoming a master of the flop, sneaky elbow, & is a quick, annoying, effective defender.

Drake- I'm a little more impressed by UNC's victory today vs BC. Down 18 in the second half they come back to win by 10 and they overcame 46 points from BC's Tyrese Rice.  Rice was insane today. At one point in the first half he was 8-8 from 3 pt land.... 34 points in the first half eclipsed his previous career high. All in all it was the second most points in school history.

I had the same problem with the GAC webcast yesterday. It's my understanding that such video is EXTREMELY expensive due to the required bandwith.

Under the current setup, is it even worth the hassle? I'm pretty sure I'd prefer the stat system that Concordia and Carleton use instead, which I've got to believe is waaaaaaaaay cheaper.

Willy- Carleton's webcast tonight was pretty good. The quality of picture may not be the best but its pretty darn cool to watch a MIAC game on the internet!!

I agree with you about the color guys Drake. They are doing a pretty good job. I really wish there was some better music during timeouts though!!   ;D

I didn't make the drive tonight Drake. Some may call me a fair weather fan but I had a couple of prior commitments tonight.
