The Cap/Berg game really shows the importance of having an administration that supports their athletic programs and their coaches.  Tough times in Bexley.

I just picked up my fantasy football mag. and they listed Garcon as the 28th best WR.  I know his surrounding cast is really good but they had M. Crabtree, Braylon Edwards, TO and Jeromy Maclin all listed below him.

Anyone word on how Cap looked in their scrimmage Sat. vs Malone?

I had a chance to go to the "Meet and Greet" and came away very impressed with Stanford and his staff.  He will be a great recruiter and promoter of Cap football.  He has surrounded himself with several young coaches that should relate well to HS recruits.  Hopefully he will get the support of the Administration so his hard work pays off.

Great article about Assmann in the weekender section of the Dispatch.  He is teaching FT and hitting over 400 for Caps baseball team while carrying close to a 4.00.  He says he hasn't decided if he will play football this year.

Here are my 2 cents...don't realize when you're 40, married with kids that damn I should of played my 5th year.  There is such a short time to play college sports and plenty of time to be an adult.

Coach you hit the nail on the head...very jealous administration.

Before Collins let's not forget they played in a pit for a stadium with poor administration.

Amen JK!!

This President just doesn't care and that is sad.  I have said this before but if this new Pres. wasn't such a a-hole neither Collins or Bickle would of left and the great tradition they worked so hard to build would continue.

If Assmann doesn't come back it will be a tough year for CU.

What are d3 players signing....other than their life away @30k a year

Administration, Administration, Administration.

Both Collins and Bickle left for better opportunities but I think if they had any support from the new Administration neither one would of left.  Very frustrating times at CU!

I find it hard to believe BW's and JCU's coaches have forgotten how to coach or recruit.  I was wondering if the schools Pres. or top brass still give them the support needed to be competitive in the OAC?

Looking forward to a great game in Bexley tomorrow.

Looks like the Otters are in trouble.  What stuns me is with all the talk about the offense being beat up the healthy defense gave up 25 points and almost 30 first downs.  Yikes.

My feeling is whoever wins the Cap/ONU game and wins out has the best chance to get into the playoffs.

I know a lot has to happen the last 3 weeks,  but if Cap wins out they will likely be in the top 15 with losses to top ten teams by a total of 8 pts.  I have to think they get in.  Maybe?

Runyr....that coach was also the last Captial coach to beat Mount.

Unfortunately your success in football especially in the OAC hinges on the support of the Administration.  In the mid 90's Caps financial packages was a joke.  Package that with playing and practicing in a crappy stadium doesn't spark the interest of top players.

I think Caps offense will be able to move the ball and score, the question is can they put enough pressure on Otterbein's QB to force him to make bad decisions.....This may be one of those games where the team with the ball last wins.

Come on Cap.....one time!!

per Otterbein's QB...

I think we're capable of winning out and going deep into the playoffs," said Schlosser. "Mount's a tough team and I'm sure everybody on our team knows that's going to be our biggest game, but I think they're beatable this year. I've seen them in a couple films that we watched on Ohio Northern and they kind of look like they've got a down year going.

Quick piece of advice never ever as a current player make a statement like this.  I will take Mount plus 40.
