I think saturdays game is going to be a great game. But man, Dustin Allen sure is popping off at the mouth a little. As a former football player, I would be a little upset if my teammate was running his mouth like that before the game. I sure hope it don't come back to bite him and his team (As a UMHB fan i hope it does). I would like to say that it will be a good game on saturday and good luck to both teams and i wish safety to all the fans traveling to see the game. It sounds like it will be great weather.

In reply to the All-Conference selections.  I think the guys that were picked are good players and some are deserving of the awards. I think that Elex Reed is one of the best, if not the best defensive lineman in the nation(D3). If you've ever played against Elex you would admit to this. I also think that Josh Kubiak is the best safety in this conference , if not in the nation (D3). If you've ever taken a hit from Josh you would admit to this. Glover might have more stats but both players change the pace of the game significantly. I think, for the most part, each player selected dictates the outcome of each game they play in, therefore should be rewarded with the award they received. With that said, I also think some selections were insane. But we can't do anything about that. It's in the past. What UMHB can do is go to the Stagg Bowl and represent this conference and everyone of them players. Let's go UMHB.... All the way.

From what I've heard, the offense isn't as explosive (they have a shifty running back), the QB isn't as good as Desplainas but is fair, the o-line is average.  The d-line is very light and quick. The defense stunts alot. The strength of the Defense is the front four. Special teams is good put not near as good as UMHB's. I predict that TU scores 7 points at the most. UMHB's defense is probably the best in the nation. UMHB's offense can run the football on anyone.  TU doesn't have any big d-line to slow the run game down.  I think it will be a good game but UMHB is alot better than TU. However, any given saturday anything can happen.  UMHB has to come out ready to play. Let's go CRU!! Take Care of Business!!!

Great play by all the teams in the ASC this year. The ASC is getting more competitive every year. I am glad that UMHB won the conference title. UMHB was the best team in the ASC, therefore deserved the ASC Title.  All teams played their best. Good luck to everyone next year. As for now...... Good luck to the CRU.... Start the year in Salem, end the year in Salem. Good Luck to all, have a great offseason. GO CRU!  Get ready for Trinity, what about a "BLACK FLAG DEFENSE".  Sorry HSU.  "UMHB Conference Champs 2005" YYYEEEEAAAAHHH!!!!!

Actually, Andrew Judy is a freshman filling in for William Dewease. Who was hurt last week and who's father had bypass surgery on friday. So the freshman fill in (who is a great player, and will be a stand out player in years to come. ) played in the second half. I'm glad you know so much about UMHB's football team. On to more important notes....
Winning a conference championship must be so sweet for Coach Fred, especially after such a hard week.  Great Job!!!  Go CRU!!!

Be careful hpudad. Professor baddog might deduct points from your post for that bad grammar.

Thank you Professor Baddog. I will try my best to use perfect spelling and grammar when writing on post patterns. I honestly believe that will help me be successful in life. Thanks again....... ;D.

Your right. If UMHB would of only beat HPU. However, It looking like that lose isn't going to hurt UMHB that much. UMHB should (With a win this week, and without a national disaster) be in the playoffs, and seeded over HSU. If they wouldn't of lost, then they would be the top seed in the south, but then again I don't think UMHB would be the team they are today without that lose. The lose was by no means funny, but UMHB along with HSU are the only teams in the ASC with one loss. That is more than you can say about any other team in ASC. Now that is funny.......... ;D. Go Cru!!!!

Sorry Not Alpine, Pineville. Don't know what I was thinking.....

To my knowledge, the roads UMHB would of taken to get to Alpine was converted to a one way street going north for evacuees. Other routes the same way. Also, who wants their kids playing in a football game when a category 4 hurricane is headed towards them. Could you imagine if they would of played, and something would of went wrong. My grandma used to always say, "Better safe then sorry." Life goes on. UMHB just has to go to the Stagg Bowl to get a ring this year. Wasn't so bad last year. Let em do it again. Go Cru!!!!

My question is: What do you do when your 2nd, 3rd, and 4th team players continue to score points on simple running plays?

As a coach what do you do.

Do you tell your guys to not block as hard, not run as hard, not hit as hard, or to quit playing at all. Do you send 9 people out on offense instead of 11 to make it fair. I mean what do you do.............Somebody that is a coach tell me.

Alot of guys would rather play 40 snaps on monday night, than 4 snaps on saturday. Would you give up if you went through offseason, two-a-days, and practice 4 days a week. No, you wouldn't you would try to do your best just like UMHB's young guys. Today there best was to score on McMurry more than once. It' not there fault.

This is my opinion on the situation. UMHB doesn't have a ticket to the playoffs yet. Therefore, UMHB has to prove every week that they are a playoff team. A 72-0 win looks alot better than a 35-0 win. So your telling me that UMHB should of kneeled the ball every play in the second half. I mean they ran up the middle and still got first downs with the second team and 3rd team in. I'm sorry but if I was a coach im not going to look into the eyes of my players and tell them to stop blocking, or stop runnning. These young guys need snaps to. Some of the guys playing second and third team can become 1st teamers in one snap. They need the experience. That's why you play is to score. If you don't like the score then i guess your a sore loser. Coach Fredenburg allows everybody to suit up. If 150 want to suit up they can. No team in the ASC has 150 players on the sidelines. Not even the almight HSU. Get over it!
