To say Welch needs to be fired is ridiculous, but to say he needs to have less of an impact on the game is a GREAT IDEA!!! Welch needs to go back to carrying a clip board and managing his staff and players. He should have NOTHING to do with offensive play calling. For IC to lay an egg against Hartwick and then do much of the same vs SJF is terrible. Let's not forget that at the half it was a 14-7 game and IC had much of the momentum. Then the defense stops them at the start of the 3rd and Welch goes back to the air show, why??? He needs to realize the DJ might have the arm Josh didn't, but he can't read a defense nor can he make the simple play. We have a fifth year senior in the backfield who had 9 carries? Again, the receivers dropped some balls, but the ground game was working and we didn't need to chuck-and-duck it was only 14-7. It seems to me that we have yet another season without IC in the playoffs.

The IC/SJF game yesterday was the beginning of a change of power in D3 football in NYS. IC looked terrible yesterday and that was essentially their season after a loss the previous week to Hartwick. The loss of 2 GREAT coordinators is finally catching up with IC. It's no coincidence that the offense struggled last year without Angelico and this year is much of the same. Defensively, well when your stuck on the field for all that time thanks to the 3 and outs your offense is giving you it makes it tough. SJF didn't have a player the caliber of the Hartwick QB and yet we still get 30+ points dumped us! I'm not sure where this team is headed, but with Brockport, Alfred, and Springfield still left on the schedule things don't look good. If the coaching staff couldn't get the boys up for yesterdays game how can we expect them to come out strong the rest of the way. In my opinion were seeing Welch in a situation were maybe he is only as good as the coaches around him, and without Angelico and Raymond were NOT THAT GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's almost that time for the boys to get back to work! I can't wait! I think they report on the 11th or 15th? Did IC get any freshman that can come in and make a difference? Who replaced Angelico? Has anyone heard the status of that freshman LB IC had last year? I think he was number 51, he played like 2 games and was then out for the year. Go Bombers!!!!
