It would be nice if the player's parent apologizes to Coach K but it seems unlikely.  If I had to guess I imagine it is the same parent that made a big scene in Belton last year when his son got hurt.  He spent a long time insisting very loudly that his injured son get up and walk off the field with his team.  It was a very unpleasant scene and didn't truly reflect what outstanding players, coaches, parents, and fans there are that are associated with the HSU football program and Hardin Simmons University.

No, I did not say that it was not a good game and obviosuly anyone that attended the game got something out of the game.  As I stated I believe in the rules of fair play on and off the field   Here is the link to the rules in question.  There are definite differences in DIII  football rules as opposed to other divisions which some people are unaware of.

look at page 9 under Cheerleader, Mascots and Band-

If you read the rules it should clear up the point I was making.  Good luck to UMHB

No, I did not say that you should not have won. The score board told it all I suppose. But I did feel that there were a few questionable calls.  The comment about the band was that I believe in following the rules on and off the field.   But obviously you don't believe that they are for everyone to follow.  I don't think the band effected the outcome of the game but good sports usually follow the rules.  Have you every looked at the rules for playoffs? Megaphones aren't allowed either but there was a person standing out in front of the endzone bleachers yelling the whole game and leading the crowd with a megaphone and it sure wasn't a cheerleader.   And yes, I did watch all of the game but it was hard not to miss the blantant disregard of the rules of play during playoffs.

Wesley Dad- it was a very good game.  Some questionable calls but overall very good.  The Wesley fans might as well bring their artificial noisemakers because nothing seems to be done when they are  used.  For the majority of the game the UMHB band continued to play after the ball was put in play which is against the NCAA Division III playoff rules.  The HSU fans are usually very loud with their cowbells but they were silent yesterday. as they should have been.  Our fans know how to follow the rules.  Good luck to both teams.

CruAlum90- I am glad that you realize that all the HSU fans hate you because anyone with so little class deserves the hate.  I wouldn't be surprised if some of your own fans hate you for your lack of class.  You are the one that is a terrible, awful and pathetic fan/alum.  Way to represent your school!!

GO COWBOYS

I am looking forward to watching an HSU victory in Belton and then seeing them playing at home in the second round of playoffs.  GO COWBOYS!!!!!!

So what did UMHB find in the "grove"??!! I am guessing he meant they found a groove or hopefully you just misquoted Coach Pete.

I would think that Trinity's second conference loss today would throw them out of the playoff picture.  What does that mean for HSU??  I guess it is too early to know with one more week of regular season left.  Just curious what the possible playoff scenarios might befor HSU.

Congrats to Trinity and UMHB.  Good Luck in the playoffs!  Too bad that another Texas team couldn't also be in the playoffs.  There were seven teams with two losses that made the playoffs and one with three losses.  I guess they could have still been conference champs with those losses and had an automatic bid.  I think HSU should have been included but of course I am prejudiced! Too bad that only one team will be left after the first round of playoffs to represent our state in the playoffs.
