If Fisher finishes 8-2 and second in the E8, I believe they should and will get a bid to the NCAA's.

If Fisher finishes 8-2 will they have any chance at an at-large bid? I'm sure hoping so.

Upstate - Well played...
I am not a salt in the wound kind of guy- but
Screw Ithaca..............
enjoy at least a 3 loss season
Oh come on- that was only aimed at 2 of you ic faithful
82- great to see you and the fam!
I can take the knock and if I could go back this week I say the same thing. Screw Fisher last week, this week, and next week! A lot of people here want to see Fisher run the table and get the top seed but don't include me in that group. I'll be rooting for Hartwick, Alfred, Frostburg, and Springfield the next month. Its really not about being bitter either. If we won by 50 yesterday I would say the same thing. Oh well at least we have a 3 game winning streak against Cortland that we can look forward to extending...
I don't see IC beating Cortland this year...
That's just me though...
I'm not a "mystique" guy, but Cortaca is always a toss-up. There were something like ten straight games decided on the last play in the late 90s-early 00s.
I wouldn't be too surprised if Ithaca beats Cortland either. I think Cortland will be 9-0 at that point, with the automatic NJAC bid already sealed.

What are our chances against Alfred next weekend? I keep up with Fisher, but don't know much about Alfred this year. Any thoughts or predictions?

Cant wait for U of R this weekend. I'll be watching once again on Empire8tv. As stated before, Fisher seems to have alot of talented players and I also believe 8-1 is a strong possibility. If we beat Ithaca, and avoid another loss to Wick, I think it happens.
FA05, you in town....because game is locally televised as well...WROC channel 8...prob. not though, b/c you would be at game right?
I live in Miami so usually I listen to games. But I love this Empire8tv because I can actually watch most of the games now. And since I coach high school football down here in florida, I cant make it up for any games.
As for U of R, do they have a shot at beating us this year? Don't much about their team this year..

Yeah I don't think Hartwick's gonna lose to a team that went 1-9 last year... They'll definitely score more than 10
As stated above, I aslo believe Hartwick will win. BUT, Morrisville is improving and has brought in alot of good players from the Syracuse area. This one could be closer than expected!

I believe Ithaca heads to the LL in 2010. I for one am super excited about this but...I would rather see the NYS superconference formed by 2011 so NY football can really band together and push its level even higher. Let's bring back the 80's when NYS football was just plain nasty!!!
Haha yeah right. Ithaca will never leave the Empire 8 conference.

I think the East Region bracket will end up looking something like this:
1. Muhlenberg (10-0)
2. Ithaca (9-1)
3. Plymouth State (10-1)
4. Cortland State (9-1)
5. SJF (7-3)
6. Montclair State (9-1)
7. Albright (8-2)
8. RPI (8-1)
Hoping that Fisher takes care of Alfred next week. Also hoping Muhlenberg is imported and NOT MUC.
Where is Hobart?
They've got the inside track on the LL, a win vs UR gets them the AQ...
whoops. my prediction is as follows for the East bracket:
1. Muhlenberg (10-0)
2. Ithaca (9-1)
3. Plymouth State (10-1)
4. Cortland St. (9-1)
5. SJF (7-3)
6. Montclair St. (9-1)
7. Hobart (8-1)
8. Albright (8-2)
I hope your lack of respect for Cortland results in a 40 point thrashing...we will see what happens.
haha. i have respect for Cortland, I just think Ithaca has alot more riding on the game than Cortland does. I know its the Cortaca jug and both teams will be up for it. But Cortland has already secured a post season berth and most likely a first round home game, and possibly the top seed. Ithaca needs to win this game to assure themselves of an NCAA bid.

Even after a bye week, I think SJF will sneak into the next NCAA regional rankings. They have a 6-1 in-region record and control their own destiny in a tough E8 conference...

1-Cortland
2-Case Western Reserve
3-Hobart
4-SJFC
5-Montclair
6-Lycoming
7-Plymouth St
8-RPI
-Mr Rossi pointed out on the LL board that RPI, even with a loss, got a boost today with their previous opponents having success and could still find themselves in the hunt for a pool C.
-Best case scenario for the ENTIRE east is that Cortland wins the Jug and keeps MUC in the north, if IC takes it Muhlenburgh or MUC is imported.
What about Ithaca at 8-2 in this scenario?? I'm thinking they get in ahead of an 8-1 RPI team...
