I'm nervous about the #23 ranking. Although a W is a W, I am nervous about CNU's recent play. I think we are over rated and I hope our guys don't let this go to their heads. Our secondary needs a lot of work and we need to find some sort of passing game. CNU needs to start putting teams away. These last 2 weekends were too close for comfort. I hope Coach Kelchner is able to work out some of these problems this week. Tunde is a beast but he can't carry us against top ranked teams.

I can't wait for this weekend. Go Captains!!!!!

WOW Crazy Legs!!! I can't believe those stats. NC Wesleyan really blew up.  I hope CNU comes ready to play on Saturday. For anyone interested our group will start tailgating at 10am in Alumni Alley. Anyone who wants to come hang out send me an email at tcoffey@crpartners.net.  :)  See you Saturday!!!

CNU better step up next week!! Our running game is carrying us. Tunde is a beast. We need to find a passing game and tighten up our secondary before next weekend. I believe that Ferrum will come in to Pomoco with a big chip on their shoulder. Still can't believe that Wesleyan took it to Ferrum like they did. I have been trying to find a game summary or article to see what Wesleyan's stats looked like. Please post a link if anyone knows where to find that data. Turned out to be a nice day in Newport News after huddling under a tent for 2 hours trying to stay dry. The sun came out right at kickoff.

We have a large group of CNU and Ferrum alumni tailgating next weekend. Let me know if anyone is interested in combining efforts for one big tailgating bash. Go Captains!!!

I would be curious to know what kind of passing game Ferrum has. Thanks!!

Any info on individual/team stats from the CNU/GC game? Passing? Receiving? Rushing? Sounds like the Captain's O really rolled. Thanks!!

CNU season ticket holders will have until Wednesday to claim their tickets for this weekend. You will need to call the ticket office and provide a credit card. Starting Thursday all tickets are up for grabs. Cost is $13 for chair backs and $10 for bleachers.

It also sounds like the Alumni Society will be hosting another tailgating function at the new Alumni House. The house is located directly behind the endzone. See you there!!!

I forgot to mention that I am as surprised as anyone that we are hosting a playoff game. I fully expected a trip to TX. But I'll take it.  ;D

Any fellow season ticket holders know how CNU is going to handle tickets for this weekend? I have already called and left a message for the ticket office. Should I assume that we will get first right or refusal for our seats??? Any input would be appreciated.

Has anyone been over to the new alumni house? I tailgated there yesterday and it was a blast  ;D

CNU85 - good points. I was a little disappointed with those comments as well. Our kids play with as much sportsmanship as any team I have seen and they were absolutely concerned when they saw the down player. I don't care what team you play for, big hits will always garner a celebration. But not a single player was celebrating the injury. I am also sure that students at Bridgewater drink as well.

Time to seperate the men from the boys. CNU starts USAC play in 2 weeks (after bye) at Shenadoah. Averett and Ferrum might be for real. It's shapping up to be a really good season. Ya gotta love USAC football!!!

Thanks for the update. Sounds like a great game and a tough loss for Ferrum. I am really curious. Is Ferrum that good (even after last week) or is BC not as good as their ranking may indicate? Ya gotta love D3 football. Any given week can be full of surprises. As a CNU fan I hope the BC had an off week  ;D.
