I've have yet to see a SJF poster go out and attack a Ithaca football player on a personal level. The way I see it Ithaca gets beat so the only recourse is to pick a player and post how bad he played

Can anyone give me a rundown on how Ithaca drops down one in the ranks when beating brockport 26 to 7, but SJF moves up one with a 27 to 20 score. Could it be the Arrogance of the Ithaca posters that's giving a lot people a sour taste

Hey maxpower, Why the personal attack on my son. Do you even know my son James. If you did I'm sure you would have never posted such an insulting statement. My son doesn't come from a rich family, He's very honest and hard working young men. Everybody that I know that ever met James falls in love with his caring and sensitive personality. James wants to be a teacher at the elementary level and there are two local school districts at his home area that would love to have him. Everybody has their ups and downs but James competitive spirit will not let his team down. There is something that's going on at SJF and it's young men like Mark Robinson and James Reile that thrive on each other to be the best that they can be. It's a driving force that is spreading through this team and feeding on its competitive nature. When SJF recruited Young men like Mark Robinson, Nick Suchyna, Gene Lang, Rob Kramer, James Reile and the other SJF football players, They recruited them for their high standards and strong character. SJF is a team that is 6 and 0 and beat the almighty legendary Ithaca team, not just once. And as far as I'm concerned when you insult one you insult all.

September 26, 2006, 06:55:19 PMQuote from: tecmobowler on September 26, 2006, 10:15:10 AMIf you were to look at the 4th fisher td drive, you would see in one of the plays that Reile carried 5 Ithaca Players practically on his back for five yds to put the ball on the Ithaca's 2 yd line. By then Ithaca was waiting for Reile to get the ball. That open up the Td pass to Chris Harmon to make the score 28 to 10. Reile is also very happy about the outcome of the game as is Kramer and the whole team.
Reile did little to nothing. Kramer looks a lot better when he rolls out.

People from IC do enough jabber jawing to cover 8 football leagues. Take a look at your own preseason preview, Its looks like everybody on IC roster got some kind of ink

When you run the ball that much your going to get bang up. Injuries will carry over into the next game and may alternate your running style.

Carrying the ball 35 times a game usually results in Injuries. Most of your top college programs will run they best backs an avg. of 25 times

August 17, 2006, 11:54:20 AMQuote from: joseqviper on August 17, 2006, 08:10:20 AMLast year Robinson avg. 5.7 yds , Reile avg. 6.1 yds . Both backs have proven to be great receivers coming out of the backfield. Fisher can mix it up with both these guys in the backfield, Occasionally with one of them in the slot back position. I believe this would open up the other receiversQuote from: superman57 on August 16, 2006, 07:15:46 PM
Reile was as we like to call him the Reile deal last year. having him and Robie spliting carries this should be a dangerous offenese the only thing I'm worried about is who's going to take Noah's catches
Seems to me that Robinson is a guy that gets better with every carry. He was a real workhorse before getting hurt. I almost hope he and Reile split the carries. Maybe that will keep either one of them from getting into the flow of the game and make them easier to limit. Er, would you agree that he is better as he gets more touches?

August 15, 2006, 09:25:17 PMQuote from: superman57 on August 15, 2006, 03:25:29 PMNational ranking in DIII, James Reile was ranked 6th in kickoff return, 8th all purpose yards, 11th in scoring, 32nd in rushing. Keep in mind that the 1235 yard total in 11 games played . Reile was the starting running back in 8 of them, while Robinson started the first four.
The fact the foster is gone should be a good sign, the fisher offensive fell apart in the last two games due to his play calling. To say that the Fisher sucks is a bold face lie. Fisher's back up running back is better than most of the running backs in the E8 if not the second or third and Robbie is by far one of the best running backs in D3 and with Such having a year under his belt. and lets not forget Gene Lang on the d

I know that IC was recruiting James Reile but not as heavily as Fisher did, And it was the Coaches and the Facility not the Bills.

Talked to a Section IV football recruit today.... sounds like he is Fisher bound. He mentioned that the Fisher coaches were extremely kind, went out of their way to talk to him time and again, the facilities are great, etc....
When asked about Ithaca he mentioned that they showed interest, but seemed to have the attitude that they didn't really care if he went there or not.
I have heard a number of others mention this sort of behavior in person, and on the board (including Robinson's Dad i believe). Does Ithaca roll out the red carpet for anyone, or do they have more of a take us or leave us approach?
I'd be curious to hear any former players opinions on this, along with Mr. N if he's still lurking around.. Granted you shouldn't talk players up too much, and guarantee things that won't come true. That being said, these kids, and the dads of the kids, love hearing how wanted they are. Toss on a professional weight room and facilities and recruiting in upstate could be a problem.
