Alumni won by over 25. Crotty made sure they wouldn't lose this year. Alums had an all star group.
Varsity was outmuscled and outplayed as you would expect. Not much to get excited about for this year's team. New coach, Maker, seems to be excellent. He has a great feel for the game and for the program but it will take time to get his philosophy incorporated. Middle of the pack in the conference seems about right. However, watch out for the future

Morrissey as expected looked good as did the offensive line
hard to tell if the offense was very good or the defense was little suspect when you are playing against yourself

did anyone see the scrimmages yesterday? i saw the williams purlpe and gold scrimmage and the frosh QB from Conn looks very, very good

yes from the game i saw last year in the state tourney against bridgewater he appeared to be a nice player-- like a lot of freshmen he will need to get stronger

watched tyler against bridgewater in state tourney game-- he is not even close to being the player his brother is-- nice player but not an all-star from what I saw or  from what the college coaches that I was sitting with had to say

i don't think ted rodgers actually played in the nfl-- he was on washington's travel/taxi squad but not the actual team
