I heard that Irmer is transferring to St. Mary's College (CAC).

I've learned from a very reliable source that Hood College and Villa Julie will be joining the CAC. Hood will begin play in the conference starting in the 2006-2007 season, while Villa Julie will begin play in 2007-2008. Apparently, CUA and Goucher will not depart the conference until the 2007-2008 season. Can anyone confirm?

Thanks for the infomation about D3. What can you say about these two schools and their basketball programs & coaches: VWU and Bridgewater? How would they compare to some other D3 schools such as Frostburg State, Hood College, Catholic U. Mary Washington, and Salisbury, and a D2 school, Davis & Elkins?

jdub.... Thanks for the response above. It sounds like you have knowlege about the workings of D3 basketball, and some interest in VWC. If what you say is true, how does one peel off the recruiting smoke to make a good decision as to where to attend a D3 college with the expectation of playing basketball? Say you are a senior and are being recruited by a handfull of D3 schools and one D2 college, what do you really need to do or see happen to assure yourself as much as possible that the college you pick is the best one? Any insights would be greatly appreciated.

So there is attrition. Just how does this work? Even if you were recruited, are you at risk of being cut or leaving on your own? Does it come down to the competition in practice and where you stand as a result of it, regardless of what was said to you while you were being recruited six months earlier.
I'm aware that Bridgewater and Lynchburg have JV teams. Are there other JV teams in the ODAC? How many JV games are played and against whom?

I counted 18 names on the RMC roster. How does a team play 18 players? Who plays and who sits? Does RMC have a JV team where some of these guys can play? If so, what schools does the RMC JV team play against?

New to the board and would like to get some information about Frostburg State men's basketball. What information can posters offer about the program, team, recruits, and coach. If someone is a 6'3" combo guard with very good skills and plays best in a system and is looking at attending FSU next year, is there anything one can offer about playing basketball there? How does FSU compare to other D3 schools such as Hood College, Mary Washington, Salisbury, York, Shenandoak, Christoher Newport, and two D2 schools - Davis & Elkins and Bloomsburg U?
