there's only two reasons ONU beat MT. on saturday. and they're the same two reasons we haven't won the last 7 years or so. Mt's off. and def. lines obviously were not dominating as in past years and ONU played mistake free football with no turnovers to Mt's 4. ONU's always had just as good as if not better, some years, in the skill positions but just was missing somthing up front. but ONU has an offensive line that's been playing together since they were freshman or soph's. there's a lot of seniors playing on this team with guys like rusty, and hos, lee, porter, gasser, KT, devin, walton, mochon, trusnik, bockey, danison,  Q, and others who have put a lot of sweat into that program. and it finally paid off. that must have been some night at the beagle when they got back. i almost had to skip my buddies wedding to head over there. now i hope the boys don't forget about Cap coming into town this week. gotta keep that momentum going because the mouths from bexley will definitely be looking to bring the Bears back down. it's a great day to be in Ader

WOW!! we've always had the tools, but finally got the whole package in a game and pulled off the upset. although i don't think it's that much of a surprise. i think ONU and mount were on more of a same level this year than in any years past. still, congratulations to all of the seniors and rest of the players on the team. it's truly a proud day to be a POLAR BEAR!!!!

raiderguy and swarm, the pink locker room at kinnick stadium is absolutely horrible to be in. not only was the color bad but the whole room itself was bad. i had the not so great pleasure of being in it for my first college game when i was at northern iowa and took a 66-0 drubbing at the hands of tim dwight and tavian banks. must have been the pink!!

oac favs
1. ONU- great campus, team, people, bad setting but you'll have that.

2. Mount. it was always fun to play the best year in and year out even though we always got beat. but at least they're in the OAC.

3. JCU. always a tough played game on both sides, great new stadium, and i had my best game ever there in 01.

4. BW- again always a knock down drag out every game down to the wire.  plus they have the fake stuff, always liked playing on it.

5-9 it's a toss up of Etta, Ott, the Berg, Wilm, and Musky, with the edge to Musky because they were the only one of the bottom dwellers i ever lost to.

10. Capital. never did, never will like them.  i'm sure the feeling's mutual.

this is post is for everyone who thinks knows what happened at ONU. reality check, i know you had the inside scoop but not even you knows the whole story.  i played 4 years for kaz, well 3 1/2, and for everyone that thinks things like the practices went on for years, they did not. i ran practices with recievers for three years in the off season and summers. only the last year did i ever see kaz anywhere near us. so stop with the bashing, he was a great coach who who loved to coach kids plain and simple. those of you outside the program think he's an ahole from the games, but that's only because he wanted us to succeed. occasionally there was some yelling. but othere than that the hole practice situation has been so exaggerated not only by outsiders but by the NCAA as well. hell they don't even know the truth because they talked to guys like brad watkins who had nothing to do with it. and i've heard things about what people said and what the NCAA and ONU came up with as far as practices and other things like film sessions and mandatory/nonmandatory summer practices which are completely false. were there some throwing sessions, not practices, yes they happened every summer. was kaz at some of them yes. how many? 4 maybe 5 out of at least 10 that we had. and not only that but he had his two kids who were both starting football, and one was a center so he practiced his snaps to me. the players who all came up before the start of training camp and the ones who threw with me did it all on their own. the coaches making them do it if they wanted to play is completely false. i had who i wanted there because they were already going to play and contribute a lot or start as far as RB's and WR's go. and i ran it myself the majority of the time. there was only 4 times kaz was around and the coaching was very minimal. and how many times did the NCAA ever talk to me? 1. and i'm the one person they should have talked to the most. so they have completely missed the boat on what happened and their rulings for ONU. there's a lot of great players and seniors that deserve to be in the playoffs, which they will make. the only thing is there are still players on the team who were right in the middle of the so called extra practices. there is no excuse for the NCAA to take 2 years to come up with crap. but then again it is the NCAA.
