Didn't get my picks in on time last week so I will start it off early this week.
Coe-Cornel, I think this one will be closer than most think, for the first half anyways. coe by 17
Simpson - BV, Simpson plays good D but lets see if they can put up some points. Simpson by 7
Central-Dubuque, Central is only averaging 25 and giving up 15 so If Mr. Jackson can hit a couple long balls to his receivers the spartans may have a chance but very unlikely. central by 13
Luther-Loras, Luther's running game is hurting + Loras has a tough D = lots of pressure on the QB, not a good equation for the norse. But Loras doesn't have much of an offense and they don't like traveling to the valley. Luther by 4
Good luck Norse.. GO ASTROS

Norseman8 I was walking around shibuya and for the first time I saw someone taller than me, then I realized it was only a cardboard cut out of Matsui the Yankee player.

Picks of the week
BV and Waldorf: who really cares about this game except beaver fans but we need a winner so BV by 10
Dubuque and Cornell: Same sentiments here who really cares (sorry dowjone$) but i for see the rams coming up with an inspired homecoming victory by a touchdown.

THe games that matter
Coe over wartburg by 21. a little reverse psychology I think this trick was used to some knight fans advantage last year (go knights)

Finally central and luther, since I also didn't want to pick a winner like Norseman I left it up to my true TI-84 graphing display calculator probability simulator, by flipping a coin 100 times. Obviously i had to weight the coin in the dutch's favor 60-40 because of homefield advantage and a hurt sheriden. But in the end the results 51-49 norse. They win by a safety? that can't be right can it?
IN the battle of the kickers/punters norse 16-10
Go Norse

Mr. CooCoo
The best time to go for a bike ride is after SIPPING a nice tall glass of sake. Mr. Norseman sorry I don't have time to fill out my fantasy team, I have to learn the calculus before I teach it to the kids so no time at all. Where you at these days anyways?
Good luck to BV and Norse, oh yeah spartans too.

Looked like there were some good games in the IIAC this past weekend. As much as it pains me to be wrong, hats off to the Kohawks. I can't wait to see how this conference race is going to play out.
Picks this week:
I couldn't believe it but I was on a bike ride and I saw a beaver EATING a kohawk (who knew there were Kohawks or beavers in Japan), I am taking this as a sign as BV beats coe by 3.
Knights by 24 over UD, sorry UD but I want you to save your conference win for Coe
Central by 13
Finally
There was a typhoon aka "storm" that was suppose to happen this week but it didn't hit the main land. Another sign Norse by 7 over the storm.
Go NORSE

Predictions and thoughts from Tokyo:
Wartburg takes out their frustrations on a decent BV team
Loras gets out of their offensive slump and puts a whopping 14 points on the board which is enough to beat the rams
Central has an up and down game but their special teams come through again.
Finally, the Kohawks Like Norseman said but a ton of guys in the box, sheridan only averages 4.5 a carry, but Rolland throws for 3 scores to Pearson and sheetz to win the game by a field goal off the golden leg of kyle W.
Realize these predictions are solely based on everyone elses opinion and the stats I read on the net.
Have a great week of football IIAC. Go norse

Walston
Thanks for the thoughts, it helped paint a picture of the game, most of the time the stats don't.
Dave it is a sad day if you are a hawkeye/knight fan.
Luckily I am a norse and Badger fan, THe Big Red Machine is rollin.

Quesiton for all to think about. Will any IIAC team be able to advance further than the second round this year?

Conrats Norsemen
Nothing better than waking up on a sunday and seeing a victory over the knights.  Norsemen 8 I didn't wear #16 just like you didn't wear #90. Where are you at these days? Man in blac how are you liking the great state of montana?

Congrats to all the winners this week in the iiac. No upsets though
except for the luther game.

HI IIAC fans and posters
I have enjoyed reading your comments for the last 2 years since I have been out of the states, and finally decided to post myself. Former norse player so I have to cheer for the norse this week but beating wartburg has seemed like an uphill battle every year.

I wish I could be there. Should be fun to watch.

good luck to all the underdogs this week, nothing is better than seeing a ud beat a coe.
