Two thoughts:

1) Re: lopsided wins. When was the last time Witt lost by 32+?

2) Is it odd that Witt has yet to post a Recap on its web page?

Since I could not travel to the Kenyon/Wabash game yesterday, I watched on line.  The young Kenyon broadcaster was really, really good.  I assume he was a student.  Working alone ( no sidekick), he was prepared, articulate, eminently fair to both teams, and on top of the action.   I thoroughly enjoyed listening to him.  If there are any Kenyon readers here, I hope they let him know how good he was.

Send the Kenyon SID and AD a note. That's nice feedback they should hear. :)

The announcer did a very credible job.

Perhaps the AD could help recruit someone to pan the camera during gameplay. We missed a lot of the action. My first thought was that the broadcast was a one-man show with the announcer running the camera as well...

While we are patting other announcing teams on the back: the two young men from Denison did a really good job. Played off each other well. One had to leave and the other guy took over by himself -- nicely done. Better than one or two adult teams from the eastern end of the conference...

Here ya go. Scroll down to Recent.  Audio is out for much of the first half. Ditto for most of their info panel (game clock, etc.). Makes you appreciate the performance level of the Wabash broadcasts.

That was the same year that Coach Nick and staff stole the Wabash signs.  The game was a runaway for the Tigers.  DPU did not deny that they did this - even as, I recall, there was an agreement not to do so.  I believe this was reported to the NCAA but no action was taken. This has always seemed to me a blemish on the integrity of the coach and university.

Obnoxious play by play. Jim and Steve are class acts!

Great to see Sean Hildebrand selected as Offensive Player of the Week!

While reading the NCAC release, I saw that Oberlin has played their last game at Savage Stadium.  They will open next year on a renovated field which is part of a new $8 million athletic complex.  This seems to underline their continued commitment to the football program.  Good news for the Yeomen.

BB16,

A break from football...

Just opened my copy of "500 Strong, Wabash College Students in the Civil War" and I see that you are a contributor.  Well done!

(This is a collection of stories about the 529 Wabash men who served in the Civil War. The book spans 30 years of student-faculty research and includes the stories of privates to generals.  Wabash sent more soldiers to the Civil War, proportionately, than any college in the US.)

Back to Espinosa for a moment. A bit of interesting history.  Espinosa's high school has produced some talent over the years.  For example, back in '67 the FB team was state champs.  On this talent-laden team, the QB was one of the most highly regarded young men in the country, Watson Brown. Watson went on to Vandy and is presently head coach at Tennesse Tech in his hometown of Cookeville.  You may also have heard of Watson's brother, Mack Brown, RB on that same team and coach of the Texas Longhorns.  Some pedigree. My cousin, Kevin Tucker, was TE and placekicker on that championship team and went on to play at Middle Tennessee.

As long as the DPU students (and alums) believe there is more action and interest in the parking lot -- then the stands will continue to be partially full. (I can recall games when the permanent stands were only 3/4 full.). The opportunity is not only to improve the product on the field,
but also to kindle some level of interest.

This is the most irritating broadcast I have heard in a long time --especially the play by play guy.

Is there a Wabash broadcast? The umu broadcast is irritating.
