I wasn't trying to get into anyones "head."  I was simply posting my thoughts on THE GAME.   I know Simpson is banged up and he wasn't very effective last week but I think he will have a huge game, not to mention HSC has won 7 in a row and none of those games were really close (besides the mud bowl).  Not much of a rivalry when you lose 7 in a row.  The only way RMC has a chance is if they run the ball effectively with Thornton and force some turnovers, and HSC has been giving the ball away this year.

There hasn't been much talk so maybe my awards will get some reaction.  Let me know what you think.

Doobersons picks for postseason awards:

Offensive POY-
1st)-Keith Ricca (CUA) 30TD's to 9ints 163.5 Passing efficiency.  Off the charts the last few weeks.
2nd-Josh Simpson(HSC)
3rd- Stu Sitterson(W&L)
4th-Caleb Jennings(EHC)
5th-Kevin Vaughn (Guilford)..would be Vogelbach but he has 20 interceptions and is 4th in the ODAC in passing efficiency.

Defensive POY- Don't know much about the individual defensive players but did a little research.
1st-Nick Oliviera (CUA) Leads league in tackles and has been ODAC 1st team 3 years in a row.
2nd-Matt Baldwin (EHC)
3rd-Kevin Worley (EHC)
4th-Tommy Matteo (W&L) Best player on a bad defense.
5th- David Woo (CUA)

Rookie of the year.
1) Charlie Westfal (W&L)  Played very well as of late- Accounted for 13TDs.  Very smart and athletic player.  Has rushed for over 600 yards and made numerous outstanding plays all year.
2)T.J. Montague (BC)--This guy was all over the place against us.
3)Tyler Beiler (BC)
4)David Argaud (BC)
5)Kenneth Hyman (GC)

Coach of the year
1)Dave Dunn (CUA) Much improved CUA team.  Moved from the bottom to the top.  CUA was picked 6th in pre-season.
2)Don Montgomery (EHC)-Had his team playing above their talent.  Picked to finish last.

Hope CUA and HSC both wn this weekend.  Two teams would be a good showing for the ODAC.  Go Generals!

You can park along the street on West University Parkway right behind the visitors grandstands and walk 100 yards to the stadium. If there are no spots left, there is a parking garage at a hotel on West University Parkway again across the street from the visitors grandstands. There are signs and a parking attendent waving a flag, you can't miss it. I believe it is $8 to park for a game. If you park in the garage, you are 200 yards away from entering the stadium.

Thank you!

Can anyone provide some advice on where to park at Johns Hopkins. From what I understand the parking situation in not ideal.

so if h-sc wins next weekend and catholic does too, does this mean that catholic and h-sc share the title???

If both teams win, Catholic wins out as ODAC champ...that would give each team one loss in the ODAC, but CUA wins the head to head tie breaker with their win over HSC.

Congrats to BC on their win today. Their MVP was Scott Ruebush. Seven punts and each one was placed inside the 20. I can't remember seeing a game like that from a punter. [...]

Agreed! He was unbelievable. What a way to go out (he's a senior). Seven punts, an average of 44.1, and like you said, all seven inside the 20. And he booted the second-longest punt in school history (68 yards).

Agreed again....unbelievable punter!

Hey TheEHC52, remember this post you made???

"Catholic at Open - Ricca still throws five picks in the off-week.  Only two are returned for TDs though.  I kid, I kid."

Bet you wish he was your qb yesterday, huh!

E&H qbs threw as many passes to Nick Olivero (3 INTs) as they threw to any of their receivers (E&H threw 5 INTs in 22 attempts.)

P.S. Hope you didn't injure yourself leaping off the Coach Montgomery bandwagon, wonder if he'll welcome you into anymore film studies? I kid. I kid.

Congratulations to all the ODAC winners. Congratulations to CUA on a great comeback.  3 TDS in 11:00 minutes after being down 27-7....wow!

I saw where Volgeback suffered a concussion at end of last weeks game.  Will he be playing this week?  Next week?

Is Gettysburg scrimmaging Shenandoah? Where? When?
#12
Anyone know if Shenandoah and Gettysburg are scrimmaging again this year? If so, where and when?
#13
11 of the 12 players mentioned are all-league caliber players...the other is a senior qb who competed 4 passes last year as a backup...that has to make W&L third...the other two are darn close...GC has the best passing game, BC the best rushing game...I'll go 1)BC  2) GC  3) W&L

Can OWU go into the Wabash game undefeated? The Bishops open with Franklin (no winning seasons in last 7), Catholic (5 straight losing seasons) and Bethany (3 straight 1-9 seasons). Not exactly murderer's row.

Is this the year BC is dethroned? I want to say yes, with the loss of Colbert,Washington,Awkward, the starting qb,the offensive line , the te's, most of the secondary, the kicker, etc. But the Eagles are still the team to beat. Highfill took over late last year and will be a star. Young may be the best back in the league, and Matthews returns. The wr's will be as fast as ever (Copeland, Warring, etc.). Craig Smith will be a beast. The o-line and d-backs are the big question marks. Weaknesses there make BC ripe to be knocked off. But by who? HSC didn't do it with Ricca and should drop off. W&L loses a lot on d and must find a qb. Guilford can score, but can't stop anybody - much less Bridgewater. Catholic lost their best offensive player and best defensive player and have to go through another coaching change. R-M seems to be recruiting well but not winning games. E&H was terrible and doesn't figure to improve much. My early prediction is that a good but not great Eagle team goes 8-2 or 9-1 and wins the ODAC. Again.
