I see Rocky will be playing in the National All Star bowl in Louisville this weekend - April 7th. It will be interesting to see if he takes advantage of another OAC player in WR Jason Curry from Marietta. The kid is quick and I'm sure he'll appreciate Rocky's arm throwing his way. Looks like the OAC has a nice showing in this one. I hope they do well in the Pro Day associated with the game. Good luck boys - make the OAC proud!

You're right Bokat has come up LARGE LARGE LARGE is a game each season so far - ie, last year vs Muskingham. He makes some good grabs when he's needed!!! North had some great grabs too. Vrable is just amazing he makes it look like whoever he is throwing too is the only other guy most of the time. Sounded wrong when I posted above - meant that he has a touch and can surely float that ball on the numbers.
Should be a good match up this weekend coming.

You're right the Marietta-BW game was amazing. The QB-Vrable for Etta set an all time record over 400 yards, and Banks set the career interception record and this was the first game in overtime in MC's history. I'd say the defense deserves some credit on this one holding BW and Hedges to minimual yardage. They played tough. Amazing to watch the Vrable -Curry connection like they are the only two on the field. Good luck to Etta this year they may surprise some people.

Welcome pmv - nice to have a fellow blue and white fan. Nice to see someone who isn't purple on board (no offense cap or mt)

Just wondering if you were at the BW/Etta game. Etta was down 31-13 with 11 min to go and came through. Your "how low can they go" is certainly not a slam against a bunch of kids that worked their butts off for a win. Granted as we all know from reading these posts that no team holds a candle to the top few but how many other teams including the top have come back from a deficit like that this year. Great job Etta a real team effort to ge the job don!!! A group of stars always shines brighter than just a few and you proved it today!

Kirasdad,
No problem - you're probably right. I have enjoyed reading posts here for a long time little shy about making comments. I just know this young man to be a good all around athlete and would like to see a small town boy do good. I do know that Curry chose Marietta over quite a few choices because he believed the head coach was a straight shooter according to his grandpa. Also he had a good chance of playing as a freshman and being able to have a chance to punt and receive.

kirasdad,
Know his grandpa. Have seen him play more than once. I'm a big fan of kids and I like to see kids from the Northeast Buckeye Conference getting a chance to play after high school. I agree Marietta is off to a disappointing start.

Reality Check
I know that Hostetler, Garcon, and Casto are top notch players but has anyone notice the returner from Marietta (Curry) that now leads the KR with a 34 yd average - average over 40 until this past weekend (was 1 catch shy of having the required 1.5 per game to be listed on the OAC stats sheets). Rumor has it the kid asked the coach for a chance to return after the first game and got his chance by answering with a 65 yd return on his first one. He has only gotten to return 9 since Mount kicked away from him last Sat and only got the ball on a handoff from the other deep man. He doesn't do the punt returns since he is also a starting receiver and punter (since fr year) but I think he may be someone to watch. Had some friends sitting by folks from Mount and their comment was that he may be faster on the field than either of the 3 Mount boys - although with Mount's defense their wasn't much to see this week. I think Etta has more talent than they get recognized for.
