I believe tickets will go on sale around 10:00 or so. Capacity of Day Field is around 4,000, but lining up around the field (which they did my freshman year) and big stands on the opposite sideline (whcih are already there) should increase the capacity drastically. Also, the tailgate will be in full swing.

Notice: Tickets will be sold for The Game, they will only go on sale before the game (no pre-selling), and there will be a limited amount of them. That is the latest news that I've heard. I'll keep all posted if I learn more.

Tigerftblfan: Not a problem. Hope you got my email and R-MC can get you guys a spot. I'd hate for any Tiger fan not to see the whooping they're about to get.

E&H fans:
Just to put things a little bit in perspective. If this is Montgomery's 3rd year, not all is wrong. Just remember, Macon in Coach Arruza's 3rd year went 2-8. Granted, most losses were close (although some weren't). There were people questioning Coach Arruza's motives and whether he was a good coach or not. The 1st 2 years he had to weed out the weaknesses, the 3rd year was developing the players that were left, and now look at them. 7-1, playing for the ODAC championship.
Be happy with at least a 4 win season. I would have last year. Although a 10 year plan is inconceivable, a 4 year or 5 year plan may not be the worst happening. It sucks for the current players, but we know that we only helped to build the future.

Thank god for my 2 tailgating spots at R-MC on November 10th...I don't know where I would have parked otherwise.

Kid,
Regarding the attendance:
1) R-MC was on fall break, and students who are not athletes are not allowed to remain on campus. Therefore, many students were not there as R-MC is definitely not a commuter school.
2) There was no one at the gate collecting tickets, counting, etc. Normally you will see the baseball team collecting tickets or checking the pass list. This is what the attendance is based on. People that don't have or need tickets (students, old alumni) are not counted. However, they count all of the pass list (I believe), so that could inflate the numbers, but by how much a swing (positive or negative) is, I cannot say.
3) There were more than 450 people there. Maybe 800 or so. Definitely not a large turnout, but more than enough. Wait until the H-SC game; that will quite possibly be 10k plus with the tailgating area (which is not counted towards the attendance), and since you don't have to go into the stadium or past the ticket counters to watch the game, there may be less.

Kid,
Yes, Frostburg St. is a bad football team for R-MC to lose to. However, many don't know this, in the 2nd quarter, Macon threw a long TD pass that was called back for illegal man downfields that would have made the game 24-7 going into halftime.
2 days later, the ODAC commissioner called and apologized for the blown call. There was no penalty on the play. Who knows what would have happened at this point.

Sorry you missed it. The 1st half wa a great game, but the 2nd half (IMO) was a whooping. Can't wait to see the Carnegie Mellon game. That should show us if R-MC is the true real deal.

JacketLawyer,
Were you at the game on Saturday. I'm still trying to figure out why #15 got kicked out (and I even talked to him last night...).

R-MC: 42, W&L: 17
It was 15-14 at the half, then Macon turned it up, and shut it down. Varner was impressive in the 1st half, not so much in the 2nd.

Can't wait for a home game to finally see the Jackets play on Saturday. Could be looking at 3-0 for the 1st time in a long time. *Knocks on Wood*

R-MC 18
JHU 9
R-MC 2-0.
Is it too late to go back for a 5th year.
