Wood:

Although you might think they put Kraft in as a TE only to get the award you are sadly mistaken. His lines up in the position and blocks on running plays and had caught most of his TD's from the position I would say that makes him a TE. I sounds like sour grapes to me.

Go Crusaders!!!!!

Cap99-
I have nothing to be bitter about, I just simply thought it was strange when RC brought up the question of whether Kraft was a TE or a WR.  I think if they felt he should have been frist team, they should have just listed him as a fourth first team receiver and not have a first team tight end.  You say he lines up at tight end occasionally, but so did Howes a few times.  So why not conisder him a tight end as well.  Tight ends and running backs line up as receivers on occasion all the time, but that doesn't make them a receiver, its just using personel in a different formation.  Anyway, I just thought it was strange to see him listed as a tight end when you hadn't seen him listed that way all season.  I think they should have pushed for their defensive coordinator as co-assistant coordinator of the year, he definetly turned a lot of heads with that defense this year.  Overall, I think Capital definetly got the good end of the deal with pretty much all of their all-conference selections, except they might be dissapointed with Rocky as only a second teamer.

Also, did O'reilly go down with an injury late in the game this past weekend?  if so, what is his status?

Good luck to both OAC schools this weekend, would love to be able to see the two collide once again in Alliance.

Kive Kraft is def a tight end.  He lines up on basically all run plays and many of his routes begin at the TE position.  Congrats to Kive on giving Capital a TE threat.  He has been the primary Capital TE for a year and a half.

If Kive Kraft is a tight end, then why is he listed as a wide receiver on every roster, box score, and press release?  Sounds to me like Capital wanted to ensure that both, Howes and Kraft (their two starting receivers) made first team.  Thats like taking a linebacker who plays two plays a game at the defensive end spot and saying he plays defensive end to get him first team.  I saw a few games on Capital, and it doesn't appear that Kraft should be considered a tight end.  I dont know, if I was Kive Kraft, if I would appreciate an award at a position that I didn't play.  But I guess the coaches voted it that way.

GO MOUNT UNION! ROLL RAIDERS ROLL!
