I that was my exact point.

"My point is while mutual opponets can give some indication of two teams relative strengths, often times they prove fruitless.  Another point is that I really enjoy reading my own type. (emphasis added)"

First Down,

I'll never forget that day.  But Depauw was still a very good team that year and the year after that and the year after that...

DadofBashWarrior,

I too have been reading this site daily for a number of years without posting.

While I appretiate the insights on Capitol v Wabash, it is always dangerous to compare teams through mutual opponents.  For example, My freshman year at Bash we beat Rhodes by a sizeable margain in our week 1.  Rhodes beat or played Depauw extremely close in thier week 1.  In our week 10, bash was 9-0 hosting depauw.  Easy victory, right?  Wrong.  Score Depauw more than I would like to type, Wabash 7.  My point is while mutual opponets can give some indication of two teams relative strengths, often times they prove fruitless.  Another point is that I really enjoy reading my own type.

superflytb9,

Forgive and forget.

Do you have any numbers to back up your kicking claims.  Aside from the year I played for CC money, I have not seen enough of the kicking game to make a claim on its strength.  On a side note, I do rember a certain "sarting" kicker missing quite a few under Carlson's campains.

Sincerely,
you know who I am.
