Many moons have passed since I logged in and commented. After the NCC vs Carthage game, I felt like I just had to say my peace about scores. I don't know if anyone has talked about this lately. Has anyone noticed that College Football whether it's DI DII or our beloved DIII is all about the big score? I coached HS football for 20 plus years and always felt that when a score got that out of hand, we wanted to shoot the coach and his staff that was accross the field. Running it up... putting our nose in it ... as they say. Now days it doesn't seem to matter. NCC staff would say... heck it took us that many points to beat them. But look around to other games. Now days when some one wins with a 14-7 score, the winning team is almost delegated to having a loss. One of these days a CCIW score will go over 100 (NCC was close) and the coach said he was ok with that. I guess I'm just old school. GO CCIW Great Football at an affordable price!

Great game CUW. I thought going into the game that NCC would take your lunch money. Instead you took theirs! Outstanding effort! I look forward to seeing more of your games and getting more bird wear. How about that defensive line play. Big and quick. And the NCC coach says that their o-line is the best he's had in the years he has been there. You put them in their place. Keep the run going.

I sat there last night watching the game between the birds and had to chuckle about NCC's head coaches comments that this years line is the best he has had in the years that he has been there. I didn't see it last night. I think NCC is in for a long season. They sort of remind me of my beloved Packers. A heck of a QB and not alot of help.

I'd like to think we are in the top group of conferences in the nation for the size and quality of the schools that we have.

We always talk about the strength of our CCIW Conf. Are we as strong as we think we are?
