I saw in the NY Metro area, that the DIII game rated higher than the Devils, Rangers, and Islanders games.  DIII football over NHL Hockey.  Gotta love it!

Stay at the Comfort Inn if you can.  Nice hotel.   Has indoor pool.  Also within walking distance of BW3's.   There will be alot of people there on a Friday night.

We had a large tailgate last year at Homecoming and it was not a problem.  We parked in the lot mentioned by seventiesdraider.  We got there at 9-9:30 and the lot was filling up.  Of course it is alot colder now.

Enjoy the game.  As a Mount Union grad and NJ resident, I would love to make the trip west on I-80, but the wife and kids are keeping me under wraps this week-end (especially with the holidays right around the corner).

Enjoy the game.  Should be a great one.  No repeat of 1999 please.

From NJ and a Mount Union graduate.  As much as I would love to make the trip, the wife and kids have me under wraps for this week-end (especially with the holidays rolling around).  If it were me, I would not even think about flying.  I always drive.  Can make it in decent time.  We drove out for Mount game last year and also a Browns game.

Good luck to Rowan.  Hope the defense is prepared.  Should be a great game.

JT:

I was posting last week on the MAC page and you responded a few times.  I admit a mistake when I make one.  I guess I was looking past Capital.  They played a heck of a game and it was a little scary, but Mount was able to pull it out.  Not quite the "whooping" I thought was going to happen.

Nice game by Rowan.  Nice when you have alot of depth.  No worrys about the field next week in Alliance.  They have that new turf.  Just like at Giants Stadium.

Although I wanted to see DVC win (only because it would mean Mount would have had to head east and I would have a short drive to see them), next week should be a great game.  Not looking for a repeat of 1999 though.

With Linfield out, the championship is up for grabs now.  I think the winner of Mount/Rowan will be the eventual champ.

After I posted the message, I knew that would be a response.

After their only loss of the year and first in the OAC conference after 110 straight wins, Mount has just been playing awesome.  Sure the following game they beat B-W only 17-3, but that was followed up by wins of 45-0, 63-0 and then 49-6 and 44-7 in the play-offs

Mount Union has a history of whooping on OAC teams when they play them a 2nd time during the year.  Just great coaching by Larry Kehres.

Mount had 5 turn-overs in the first meeting (3 fumbles and 2 Ints.) and they still won 42-24.  If they play well and limit the TOs it should be an easy win.

If they don't win....you can all let me have it.

I have enjoyed posting on this MAC board.  You guys are true DIII fans and very knowledgable.

Thanks and good luck.  Be safe.  Enjoy the game and hopefully we can continue this conversation next week (sorry JT) and then meet up in Doylestown.

Don't want to talk about the Semi-finals already, but just remember who will be coming into your house next week if the Aggies get by the Profs.......them Purple Raiders.

Please Just get it done!  We'll have a contingent there.  We have been looking forward to a possible DVC/Mount match-up since the brackets came out.

I was a first time poster.  Hope I didn't do anything wrong.

So what is it going to be:

Mount Union travelling to DVC or Rowan going to Alliance, Ohio (just like on December 11, 1999)?  I don't like to remember that game.  Ended Mounts 54 game winning streak, Only to be followed by a 55 game streak.

KC Keeler had one of the classic lines when asked about playing at Mount....."I feel like I have already been to Mount Union, I have seen this stadium so much on film".

As long as it is not Capital coming to Rowan or DVC.

Sorry for all my Mount Union talk in the MAC page, but I have real interest in the DVC/Rowan game.  Plus I am sure if either team gets to the Stagg Bowl, you want it to be because you beat one of the best.

Thanks for the info Billman56.  I will be watching the weather and watching the scores.

Sorry JT, I am rooting for DVC in this one.  Seen too many Rowan/Mount Union games and I want to see Mount finally come to my area for once.

OK, this is the best place to get some real opinions.  How good is DelVal and will they beat Rowan?  I am looking for a DelVal victory because I am a Mount Union grad and it would be great that the Purple Raiders finally head east and play < 75 miles from my house.  Not used to too many Mount Union road games in the play-offs.

So go Mount and Go DelVal.

When did DelVal turn it around.  They were the only team Lebanon Valley could beat when ny brother went there?

And what is the tailgate situation at Delaware Valley?

Thanks

I have to agree, the 1997 team was awesome.  Lycoming did not have a chance.  Which has me wondering about Delaware Valley (same conference).  I don't think it is a very good conference.  DelVal was horrible just a few years ago.   Don't know if they can beat Rowan.  I am pulling for Mount and DelVal.  Would be the first time ever that Mount would play within 1 hour of my house.  I will be following the scores closely on Saturday.

New Jersey resident and 1987 Mount Grad (just after LK took over and started turning it around).

Maybe see you in Doylestown!
