Romo didn't room with one of the Berezowitz boys in college.  He played for Steve in High School.  Steve is doing the articles in the press.

stoutguy, sometimes O'G is honest to a fault.  He told my neighbor kid, who was kicking around the idea of becoming an architect, "We don't have an architecture program at UWRF, but UWM does.  And, it's supposed to be a good one. You should look into it."  He told Owen Schmitt that he had a good chance of making it at a higher level and never said one word to discourage him.  He could have easily harped on the fact that it was going cost Owen $20,000 to walk on at West Virginia that first year, with no promise of a scholarship.  Meanwhile, Falcon fans are waiting for what goes around to come around.

Kestrel-  Sounds like O'G is putting what is best for the student-athlete first and you're bitter about that?  That is an honest coach that players love to play for.  If Schmitt has an opportunity to play at a higher level and possible in NFL O'G did what was best for the player.  As for your neighbor he recommended a different school that offers the best opportunity for the student.  Your complaining about honesty blows my mind in today's sports where coaches and players don't honor contracts and have very little loyality at the higher levels.

Today has been a tough day for the Warhawk family.  As a former player I have talked to a number former Warhawks and we are all in disbelief.  I hope that Coach Lance can come in and keep our program where it is at.  It will be interesting to see how many of the current staff remain on.  Losing Z, Dinkel, and Brez is a huge loss to a great staff.  It will also be interesting to see who stays on from the defensive side of the ball.  I hope we can replace all of them.  It is going to take many more than one coach to replace these guys.  I have heard that many of the current players are pretty upset that Z isn't the new coach.  I really hope that Z gets a new job in a hurry because he deserves it.  I just hope it isn't in the WIAC.  This could be a move that haunts us in the future.  All of the players he has been able to recruit to UWW might end up elsewhere.  Good luck to the Hawks in the upcoming weeks with all the change.

Anybody else getting tired of all the Mount Union talk.  I know they deserve it and I will never try to take anything away from a great program like that, but it's time for a new story.  Lets get this one for Brez, the coaching staff, our school, our state, and our team.  GO HAWKS!!!!

Post season individual awards are great but talk to any one who has them and they would trade them for an opportunity to play in the Stagg in a heartbeat.  We have had a number of great players earn post season rewards over the years that would do anything to play in this weekends game.  Lets focus on the real award.  A TEAM REWARD. A NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP!

Hey Hawks.  Wishing you all good luck this weekend.  Wesley is playing for revenge of that complete domination that took place last year.  I know we all want MU again but first things first.  Take care of this weekend and we can worry about Salem on Sat. night.  We need to put points on the board to take some of that pressure off the defense. Congrats Kleppe!

I have been reading the posts for awhile now.  You guys can really entertain.  I couldn't resist the opportunity to comment on old #20.  I would have to agree that Brez would probably have him take them home. The game should be a great one.  The Perk should be packed with fans and snow.  We are getting more tonight and they are calling for snow on Sat.  GO HAWKS!
