I hope LU dosen't host the sectional, if WW wins they are my pick to host.  A sectional hosted by WW at least will be accomodating to general basketball fans that want to see a good game.  I don't think WW would have trouble selling out 2600 seats.  When LU builds a gym with seating on both sides, then they can host a sectional.

I agree with old school.  Carroll did not lay an egg.  IWU had more size and skill, Carroll would have had to have played a great game to beat them and we didn't get that kind of effort.  I am proud of the way the Pios player this year.  RMSW-  You are full of it,  Schultz is the best thing that has happened to Carroll basketball,  good coaches get their players in position to play in big games, the players have to take it from there.  Carroll didn't loss a game all year to a team that was worse than them, not that they couldn't have won a couple more (IE the one point loss to LU) but all of their losses were to very good teams.  RMSW- you must have been one of those excuse players who would blame losses on everyone but himself.

I am not an LU fan but that post pisses me off.  I hope LU kills em.

Should be a heck of a matchup tomorrow at Whitewater as Carroll takes on the CCIW's best, (accourding to Justin)  Carroll is going to have play very well and find a way to win a close one.  Welcome to the board Justin, it is always nice to add a former comet even if we disagree on MWC teams.  As a Carroll fan I would love to get another shot at LU mostly because it means both MWC teams have played well in the tourney.  Best of luck to the Pioneers and those brokeback vikings, we will hopefully see you again soon.

Also, I don't think LU should be able to host a sectional even though they are deserving, Alex just isn't big enough.  Does one of the 4 teams in the sectional have to host or could it be at a neutral floor?

Less than 5 hours to one of the most anticipated matchups in recent MWC history.  I am expecting an attendence approaching 1500, should be a great college basketball atmosphere.  Pio Dome will be rockin.

Come on guys, I can't believe you would rather listen to the Larry fans talk about there undefeated regular season than hear the Carroll fans talk about one big win.  When was the last undefeated confrence regular season in the MWC?

Durry won't call the flip,  Wallace is the guest caller and he just returned from Italy with the gold in flip calling.  Go Pios

Roop,
You act like Beliot is a frequent NCAA tournament team.   You would love to be a CC Pioneer right now.   Sorry no room on the bandwagon for you.

T2K-  I hope you aren't planning on bring any youngsters into the what will be a PG-13 rated environment when LU comes to the Pio Dome.  Maybe you and roop can have a romantic evening together instead.

A good win for Carroll, I was a little worried as at GC is always a tough one.  I would have hated to keep the book for that one.   There might be a let down tomorrow as CC is at IC but I think they will overcome and get another win due to the fact that they smoked em pretty good the first time... stranger things have happened though.  Good luck to both Pio teams in tomorrows games  :)

No dispute on the POY award from me, CB is a great player.  Jeff P-  No dispute from me on freshman of the year either that kid from GC is going to score a lot of points by the time he is done, and it is not just the system, I see him averaging 18 points in most systems.

Tough road trip for Carroll this weekend,  Either Carroll or LU could loss this weekend if GC getts hot.  Hopefully it will be LU, I would love for Carroll to have a chance to host at tourny time.  Good luck to the real Pios this weekend.

LU fans-  Do you think your coach will be around much longer, he must have some bigger programs starting to draw interest

My keys to tonights matchup for Carroll to win.
1. We must keep our key players out of foul trouble.
2. Get to the free throw line and shoot a high percentage
3. Limit Larry's second shots
4. Don't let Braier beat you. (easier said than done)

I guess I was a bit liberal saying Carroll easily beat Whitewater, All I was saying is that Carroll deserves to make the tourney with how they have played so far this year.  If Carroll and Larry played in the WIAC, their records might not be as good but they would be in the hunt for winning that confrence as well.

hope all you MWC posters had a good holiday season and are ready for one more stocking stuffer in the form of the Wednesday battle for first place at the Alley.  As my commrades Wallace and Bannya suggested there is a lot of excitment surrounding this matchup of two of the states top teams.  Carroll and Larry both play hard nosed defense and it should be a postseason type atmosphere.  Larry will be tough to beat in the Alley as Carroll has struggled there of late but this is a very good Pio team and all streaks must come to an end.

Point Special-  I agree that a loss Wed will be a setback for Carroll, however an 11-2 record dosen't put them out of running for an at large bid.  Carroll easliy beat a Whitewater team that hasn't lost since and is winning the mighty WIAC

I finished my TPS reports early so I thought I would make another post and wish Carroll luck tomorrow agains UWO.  This is a big statement game for Carroll to prove they are a top 25 caliber team, I believe they are. I am sorry to say I won't be in attendence so Wallace better have one for me and help send oshkosh home with a loss.  Carroll by 3.

Long time reader first time poster.  It seems like it is going to be another interesting year in the MWC.  I am a Carroll fan and a member of the rowdy mob that is lead by William Wallace (I would have that 50 bucks hands when CC comes to town Titan2000)  It should be an interesting matchup Sat between Carroll and UWO.  Oshkosh is stuggling and Carroll is tought to beat at the Pio dome.  As for the league it seems it should be a tight race once again.  Grinnel is improved, LU is tough again, Ripon is always good, and MC talks a good game.  I am looking forward the the confrence season to get going again.
