Hey Titan 2000 sorry you were disappointed today as the Titans took care of business and beat Superior. As someone who has been watching WIAC basketball closely for the past 10 years, and especially Oshkosh, I am always amazed at your whining and sarcasim over TVD and the program. You obviously were a former player who could not hack Ted and are trying to get back at him and the team. Would really like to meet you to discuss this. See you after the game Tuesday downstairs where the team comes out and we could chat. The Titans are playing pretty good basketball right now, even after a lot of people had them wriiten off. Tuesday's game with EC will be a war, especially after all of the comments that were made by EC players after their last meeting. It should be a great WIAC tourney, as always.

My sources tell me that Kieran Weed will be attending school at UWO this fall and on the Titans BB team this year.

I would like to take exception to Mr. DT who is waiting for this years UWO team to "let things slip through their fingers" as past teams have. I would remind Mr.DT that the past four years were pretty much a huge letdown with all the expectations that were there. But please do not compare this year's team to that of the past few. This team has a lot more fire, determination, guts, and will to win. And do not forget that the last year of the Dworak, Sowinski, Miller, and Sherer team, they were killed by Point toward the end of the season, but came back to beat Point and WW on the road in the tourney and missed the final four by five points. Let's give this year's team a little credit until the league tourney is done. If they do lose on Wednesday it will not because they did not put in a great effort. If you knew these guys at all, you know that they want the tourney championship and a ticket to the NCAA more than anything in the world. Do not count them out yet.

Mr. Downtown is right about Miller last year. he really struggled with the ball at times. His D will improve with Ted. According to Darren Gourlie, his AAU coach, Matt played great defense and handled the ball extremely well against some of the best talent in the nation. His D was lax in high scholl as he could pretty much guard anyone without too much difficulty. His best challenge was guarding Cole Kraft from Menomonie, which were classic battles. I believe Matt is up to the challenge and will perform well, or else his older brother will kick his butt.

I beg to differ with titansrus on Matt Miller being inconsistant. I believe he was the 3pt percentage leader on the Titans last year and shot 83% from the line. I do not think that too many of you know much about Miller with him coming from the other part of the state. If he is allowed to play his game, he will be a huge asset to the team.

I have to agree with Titansrus about Pete. He did not have his best outing against Lax. He is normally very steady on both ends and will make those 2' shots 80% of the time. His contributions go far past the court time as he is a very good leader. Being the only member left of the elite 8 team, he knows what it takes to be sucessful in the WIAC and in the tourney. Pete is a great kid and will be missed immensely when he is done this year.

Hey bulk 19, were you at the game or what? Gibby was on the refs the whole 2nd half and when the foul was called sending Capelle to the line, the ref came to the table to announce the foul. Gibby was going crazy, the ref put his whistle in his mouth [which should have been a clue to stop] and when Gibby continued, he raised both hands ready to call the T in an effort to tell him to sit down and when he continued, the T was called. Not too smart on his part as the Titans pulled away after that. UWO is still not firing on all cylinders, but they are starting to put it together. When Capelle and Gibson imerge from their slumps, they will be a force. Wednesday vs Lax will tell a lot.

I was at the game in Plattevilee and BW is correct that the Pioneer defense had something to do with the low score as they bottled up Gibson and Capelle all night. As a result, the Titans shooting percentage was low with a lot of shots from the outside. Jahnke continues to carry UWO and as soon as Gibby and Jim C get out of their shooting slump, they should be ok. But 1/38 is entirly correct in his assessment of the Titans. I know the current team hates to be compared to the Dworak/Miller/Sowinski era team, but that is always going to be the case with any team that follows those guys. When the Titans do figure out [and they will] to play selfless bb and everyone play within themselves for the better of the TEAM, they will suceed.
