The MWC has the weakest bloody basketball in the nation. And I love it. Most big-school high school teams could beat most MWC teams. Let's face facts. Janesville Parker vs. Ripon. I have my money on Parker.

As for Illinois College. What a paradox. Weak Coach. Strong Youth. Weak tradition. Strong Stadium (Beloit). Weak Petefish. Strong Ingram. Weak Jennings. Strong Bruce Dial. Weak Merris. Strong Mundinger. I love all the bloody contradictions. Blueboys. Gay name. Strong name. Bob Gay. MacMurray strong. Highlanders owned by Blueboys. I love it. I hate it. Blueboys will make the tourney despite 1-3. Blueboys won't win another game. When's the next SAB dance? When is horseshoe night? Screw all the Rhoers.

I think Beloit actually has a shot at Monmouth. Looks like Carroll had an excellent game plan last week against Rankinen and the Pioneers might be the surprise team of the league. If they improve as much this year as they did last, they'll be right in there. Monmouth, on the other hand, has a boatload of pressure in duplicating last year. If they don't win it all this year - with all the experience they have coming back - you can chalk last year's victory over St. Norbert as a fluke. If Monmouth doesn't repeat, than last year was a fluke. Speaking of the Knights what's up with 50 point victory? It makes my stomach cringe to see such a flagrant display of unsportsmanship and disrespect. Guess their 49-7 margin at the end of the fourth quarter wasn't safe enough, so they needed punch it in twice more in the fourth quarter. Nothing like a 50 or 60 point win to soothe memories of Whitewater.

Ha, ha, ha. A disappointing loss? How can any Beloit loss be considered disappointing at this point?? What a total joke. You have a guy (Josh Hinz) who is going to pass the legendary Ron Bontemps in school scoring - potentially the best DIII basketball player of all time - and the program has never been above .500 in his bloody tenure. Beloit is a total joke. They have a banner in their gym commemorating an ESPN appearance. What a total farce.
