Quote from: ncc_fan on November 14, 2012, 10:57:17 AMncc_fan just Find Stoonk walking around the grounds between Rolland Stadium and the Sports Center and he will tell you what is going on with Cal Lutheran Football. He dresses somewhat like a colorful clown so he will be easy to spot!
I don't think anyone is asking for bulletin board material, and we certainly don't expect CLU players to be posting. We're just surprised that CLU fans aren't engaging in conversation about the two teams. http://youtu.be/CQFEY9RIRJA

I stand corrected.
It was a day game, for once, and I remember the dust as stoonk was showing me his Mount Union National Championship ring.

October 23, 2011, 01:57:57 PMQuote from: Kingsmen4 on October 22, 2011, 06:51:47 PMkingsmen -4 .Cal Lutheran shut down Mr. Luke Sweeney who had 25 touches and gained "only" 56 yards. He could not rack up big yardage against CLU 2nd,3rd,stringers who played almost entire second half. I was not impressed by Luke and wonder how he was averaging over 200 yds per game.
He is still leading the NCAA in rushing. Here is an article on him from this week:

Tonight should be a good test for him! Lets get another win.

Hey everyone,
Just joined the boards and wanted to wish everyone a healthy 2011 season. Saturday night at the LU was pretty crazy, definitely had some doubts headed into half time. Hard fought game by both teams, but a very long bus ride home for the puppies.Quote from: DoubleDomer on October 02, 2011, 05:39:02 PM
Pomona is plucky, and Sweeney is probably the top back in the SCIAC,....
In other news, this is a pretty bold statement when CLU has the First Team All SCIAC RB not even getting the majority of the carries. Plus, Sweeny ran for 74 on 20 carries against the LU last year while Deme'Trek Chambers ran for 131 and 2 TDs.

Oh, I'm prouder than ever because of what everyone connected to our program pulled off.
I reserve the right to be upset about being so close to going to Alliance finally.
Buy a plane ticket to Cleveland Ohio ,rent a car to drive to Alliance and see all the trophies the Mount Union Kings of d-3 football have on display in a building close to Purple Raiders Stadium.
Then be sure to visit the Pro Football Hall Of Fame in nearby Canton Ohio so you have something to talk about with your friends about when you get home.

I haven't had the chance to congratulate Linfield on a great game. Completely dominated on offense and defense... especially up front. Quarterback had a great game as expected. Good luck the rest of the way. I am a Linfield fan again and hope you win it all. Truly believe you are the team that can knock out UWW and Mount Union.

Since we are playing with metaphors then yes they might - but then first would donkey stomp your "Salty D" for 200 in one half of play...
First off, it's Monkey Stomp...and yeah impressive 2nd half indeed. Can't argue that. I would come back with a snappy retort but I'm going to have to leave for the board for now due to "personal reasons".
I don't know how hard a monkey can stomp but I just felt that it didn't put enough emphasis on what took place.

WOW----so much "sheet' being tossed around on CALIFORNIA LUTHERAN KINGSMEN-vs Linfield College game to be played 9-11-2010 in great city of Thousand Oaks Ca. takes me back to my Pittsburgh days when a favorite saying was: BE TALKING "SHEET CABBAGE ----YOU ALL GOTS DA BIGGEST HEAD !

Dammit HSC! You just HAD to ruin our "big announcement"!
I think the four semi-finalists are clearly the best four teams by a pretty fair amount. There have been years when that wasn't really true. I am concerned that since we haven't been tested in recent weeks, we may not be ready for a big, physical, fast team. I think this game will be a barn-burner, and the only thing I am unsure of is how Wesley will respond when coming to Alliance to face "The Machine".
How did the blimp end up over the stadium anyway? Was that a Terry's Tire Town special?
Jr. wants to come Friday night so he can see all my "little internet friends". I told him he's not allowed because he might score all of Saintsfans potential chicks. Here's hoping the talent is as good as the wings!
Pat? Keith? Are any of you guys coming to town Friday night?
Keith will be in Alliance. I don't yet know his itinerary.
Reliable source says Stoonk chartered the Blimp in Carson Ca. to fly to Alliance Ohio to float over his " Los Purple Raiders" to see game live!

WW warhawk QB Danny Jones would have liked watching his old California Lutheran University teammate Josh "Squash" Richards interception and rambling into the Occidential end zone for a Kingsmen touchdown. Blazing 6.4 /40 speed by the Squashman!
