I just saw that score on the bottom line on ESPN flipping through channels and wanted to make sure it was correct so I raced to the computer. OK deserves some karma for the in-region quote. Throw some at him guys!
NW two losses were to Cornell (3 pts) and Standford (5 pts). They also have wins over DePaul, Miami (FL) and WMU.

QuoteI bet Doug Wentworth will have fun with that.

Ahhhh, don't get me started on this. He really needs a sidekick thou and his fasination with Hudsonville Ice Cream boggles one's mind. That comment deserves a fair amount of karma.

QuoteI will choose to obstain in the UM-UF debate as well, I just wanted to hear opinions. I figured most everyone would be in general agreeance anyway

What about Wisconsin? I'm not a Wisconsin fan myself, but they seem to be getting skipped over by everyone, and I think they are the ones getting screwed the most. Finishing 3rd in their conference with the only loss to UM, they are sitting at #5 in most polls and are garaunteed to NOT go to a BCS game.

Poor cheeseheads

I know I'm going on first reaction here, but maybe the Badgers had a "softer" non-conference schedule (in comparison)and that was a contributing factor. (Case in point, the last opponent, Buffalo--no offense, but Buffalo isn't exactly a Div I powerhouse.) 2 conference teams UW didn't have to play this year--Ohio State and Michigan State--.

Just my .02  (with interest).

The post's point was that "da Badgers" couldn't go to a BCS bowl, unless they were picked ahead of UM (which will never happean). Only 2 teams from the same conference are allowed in a BCS bowl. Even thou top 8 teams are an automatic in (ie Bosie State). Seems like a conflict on interest, just like voting in the coaches poll.  ;) At least,  I have soemthing to take my mind of the Knights going down in flames this weekend.

It's all but confirmed to be OSU-UF at this point. Don't really feel like griping at this point, but it really makes no sense whatsoever.

QuoteIt's important to note that OSU - Marion is a two-year branch of Ohio State.

Now that changes things entirely now, doesn't it!  ;D

Wow, not what I was expecting last night at all. Very disappointed in the Knights. The bad defense is becoming a disturbing trend. Not surprised they lost (Kent Raymond can keep them in the game against almost anyone), but more the fashion of it. I was expecting a better effort after last weekends dabacle at K'Crest. Giving up close to 50 in the first half of games isn't going to get it done. Looks as if KVS has some major work to do! But they are still young and inexperience and that tends to show at the start of the year.  As for Hope, when you get 0 pts from the 5 spot and only hit 2 three's it's going to be tough to win many games no matter who your playing.

Does anyone know if Kent Raymond had any D1 offers? Watching him as a frosh two years ago, I couldn't help, but think he should have.

Drinking at work, hmmm? Jim Rome has a great "take" on that. It's one of my favorites. I guess there really is nothingbetter than sitting down in the cubicle at 9:05 in the mourning and adding a lil Bailey's to your coffee! ;D Or on second thought  :-\ Maybe I have a problem  :'( I should be drinking Grey Goose  ;)

Civic, it takes a great man or women for that matter to admit when their wrong. BTW I know the GRP had the Fri. games at 6 and 7pm. So for those looking for an out, there ya go.

mjf, I think that smearing a kid publically is pretty rude as you said youself, not fun! What you say may in fact be true, but as a board rule, I think you can keep the exact details of certain situations to yourself. There's plenty of stuff that has gone on at local school such as Hope, C'Stone, and even AQ that some of as know about, but choose to keep a little tack when talking about the matters in a public form as this. I made a simple comment about GVS complaining about calls and my karma dropped, but I could have said much worse. I think what you post says alot about yourself and you showed your true colors. Congrats!

DVS has been known to run his trap a lil bit.  I have never seen him go "Gary Payton" on anyone, however. In general, it's pretty harmless. The whining about calls bugs me more, but that seems to run in his family.  ;D

Well, well,well.
I guess the first Calvin-Hope game I have missed in a couple of years turned out to be a classic. As I sat at Ford Field watching EGR run all over FHH, I couldn't help but wish to be in K'Crest. Well, at least until my ten minute updates began. Congrats to Hope on a win over Calvin in what was essentially like a half road game for them. I'm sure that Veldhouse will not be truning out many more of those performances and I expect the team defense to improve. However, you can expect Hope's big 3 to keep turning out performances like that.
#14
As a Calvin fan, I would agree. Cramer's the favorite to win conference MVP, but Veldhouse will be right there. However, the post didn't have anything to do with that. Next weekend should be fun! I think Hope is at quite a disadvantaged at this point without any games under their belt.

Ugh! Had to get that off my chest sorry! I missed the Knights today as I was... ugh! Anyway, just wanted to give myself props, seeing I calledthe Knight's starting lineup this summer. GK can have the credit thou. I hold no grudges.   ;D
