Did you think I was dead?
Here are my thoughts on Connecticut College in 09-10:
If you look at the minutes you'll notice that Conn has five players averaging 27 minutes/game or more. After that, the next guy plays 18 min/game. Depth is a major issue. Satran would love to play a faster style(with more "sets"), but trust me he is getting the most out of what he has(Conn's motion O controls the tempo which they need to do). Conn's road effort this weekend was one of their better showings vs Trinity and Amherst. If Amherst doesn't shoot 24/26 from the line (amazing actually), the result may have been different. Conn's season has been up and down (good to see them bounce back and beat Mitchell on Monday...a cross town rival who is never very good but who has athletes and would love to beat Conn). Road wins at Hamilton and Wheaton (are they any good?) and a win at home over Springfield (average team at best, I guess?) show that Conn is capable (as does their competitive showing this weekend).
Bernier, Lampe, and Porter are all potential all-league players and frosh Rob Harrigan is really contributing, but Conn needs more athletes.
Sorry for my absence...I hope to follow a little more closely and to bring some noise to this page.
