Jeff Filkovski named new head coach at Marrietta last night according to a few guys I know on theBerg staff.   Don't know how late I'm in on this one, but I think Marrietta has gotten themselves a good football coach now lets see how long he lasts.

I'm taking 3 years max

Today Woody is spinning in his grave. Three turnovers, 7 penalties against for 83 yards, inferior time of possession, inferior 3rd down conversions!

Good thing Woody never had to play against a team like LSU.  I may be a Bucks fan, but LSU is a hell of a team.  Congrats on the Championship.

how does weather play a factor in penalties? maybe i missed something in football 101 the last few years???

Well for the line when you slip in the mud there is usually a tendency to grab the person you are blocking resulting in a holding penalty.

Explained football 101 style

I have a hard time seeing Mount walking into Ada and blowing out ONU .  I think this game will be alot closer then you think. Mount has a great team this year and sadly the scariest team I've seen in awhile from Mount. ONU does have a revenge factor after being manhandled in Alliance last year. The Polar Bear in me makes this prediction:

ONU 24
MUC 21

Let's go Bears

ggb- how is DC an undisciplined team?

I consider a team undisciplined that commits a lot of penalties.  Here's the season breakdown for DC:

Week 1 vs AC 6 for 76 yards
Week 2 vs. OTT 13 - 104 (weather had to play a factor)
Week 3 vs TSU 11 - 103
Week 5 vs MAN 6 -47

DC averages 9 penalties for 82 yards

thats a horrible average.

I don't forget about the bottom feeders.  I thnki those teams with the exception of ETTaA wouldn't fare that bad in the WIAC.

::) ::) :o :o  WOW.........that is my cue to move on.  Have a great day!

I'm not saying they will win the WIAC I just don't see them doing any worse than the bottom feeders in the WIAC.

Well looking at the styles of play in the OAC compared to the WIAC and the fact I've seen these two conferences in action I stand by what I said.  That's just my thoughts you can agree or disagree, but from what I have seen those are my thoughts

YES I stand by what I said.  I have a different thought then the rankings from this year.  I don't past as an expert but I do alot of traveling and saw WW this year and plan on seeing them again later in the season.  I stand by what I said I FEEL THE OAC IS THE DEEPEST top to bottom.

I have seen alot of the conferences top teams over the past 5 years and I'll say the OAC is the deepest conference in the nation.  I think every conference has 1 or 2 teams that are really good.  The OAC has about 5 MUC, ONU, CAP, BW, JCU.  I will stand to this any day that if you take the top 4 teams in the OAC put them in different regions there would be an all OAC final four. I'm speaking recent history like the last 3 years.
