Do the Illinois Wesleyan basketball boosters stick together on political issues or do they just all follow the AARP guidance they inevitably receive regularly?

Did Phoebe Cates go to a CCIW school or are you attempting to offend the rest of us

Bopper is now gone
Tharp will craft a revised plan
To win conference
Gillespie will moan
His talented team beaten
By Vikings again 8)
While Schultz rides the refs
LU will open a lead
Tourney at Alex

The CCIW is back on the front page again.
Let the verbal sparring recommence.
I understand that we all will soon need to change the url for this site to www.wheatonD3hoops.com and that Pat has an endowed chair of communications at Wheaton.

I heard Grotberg passed on the NBA draft.
You're looking for the MWC room ... next door on the left.
Sorry. I've fallen and I can't get up.

Hey Larry people,
How come I haven't seen posts about the CCIW bias for having the Rose story on the front page for so many days? I've been expecting them; it's sad I have to call for them.
You are an instigator aren't you.........
MW
What do you mean? That story has been up there for like, what, five days now. I haven't done the math, but this one story alone may have gotten more face time than the entirety of d3hoops coverage on Lawrence University. I just assumed someone would be saying something about it, right here on this board, home of Larry and Grotberg (and one delusional Beloit supporter).
My read is that Pat dislikes LU and that's the bottom line. The only coverage all year was on the radio show with Tharp AFTER we won like 18 games straight. I believe the others I have spoken too--LU Nut and Titan 2000--feel the same way. We've moved on. You can't have our coach and we can't have your discounts on Metamucil. Everyone gives a little and it all works out.
But if the Roop feels differently, we have all bowwed down and will follow his lead on this. Roop ?

"I'm staying." Tharp channels Roy Williams after he declined UNC... the first time. Hopefully Puget Sound doesn't come calling.
Does Braier graduate this weekend?
Good luck to the Scots this weekend as they seek to claim the All-Sports trophy for the second consecutive year.
Scottie:
Tharp is allergic to salmon I've heard, so Puget Sound would not be a safe place for him to coach.

LU graduation on 6/11.
There is an all sports event for DIII, called the Sears Cup, and the Scots are not a factor last time I looked.

I think you guys are going to be fine with this new coach. After all, how tough can it be when you have the premier program in DIII ? Everyone knows it, and there was such a wanton lust by hundreds of coaches to lead the program, I suspect the domination and consecutive national titles will just keep on coming.
I will now crawl back into my tiny MWC hole and enjoy the table scraps that are left for us. Have a good summer.

Based on my view of the fan base that came to Appleton for IWU's win over LU, I would suspect that any shortfall in economics fo the IWU program could be made up with a sponsorship deal with Geritol or Metamucil. The IWU fan base is likely a meaningful percentage of the customer base in Illinois for those products.

I am glad Tharp is staying.
I think his squad will be very tough for years to come. His returning sophomores are already battle tested and ready to assume strong leadership positions. The upperclassmen are excellent as well.
He is likely underpaid, that will need to be fixed or he will be elsewhere, in or out of basketball.
Things will be good here and I hope that LU would set a goal to have their job be called "the best D3 job in the country".
Have a great weekend.

Tharp will stay, that's my prediction.
Bridges will coach a year as everyone decides to pass on the job before its offered.
What do you locals think about that ?
