For all of you Steve Cramer fans, there is HOPE.  He has a younger brother who is a junior and this weekend scored 9 of his 14 points in the final quarter of the district final game which USA won.

Another note for the future:  Veltema, Mantel and Meckes all have younger brothers who are currently sophomores!

I don't usually post much, because you all usually cover just about everything, but I didn't see mention of last week's GR Press article where Josh Meckes has become the first Calvin men's basketball player to play in four NCAA tournaments.  Considering all the success of Calvin basketball, that was a surprise!  Congrats to Josh and all the players who have been a part of this run!  Also in those four years, Calvin has 3 MIAA tournament crowns, one regular season championship. and a post season record of 18-5. 

Has anyone else in the MIAA accomplished the 4 NCAA appearances?

I can see how Hope moved up to #5, with a 3-0 record (listed on d3hoops.com), they get credit for winning games they don't even play!
