Hoops you hedge every statement you make. What do you really think? You've put up some really good posts and I expect you have more decisive thoughts than stated thus far. Grab a bat and step up. There's no need to be shy, most of these folks respect you. For you guys doing all the analysis about that d3 all star team ,stop now. the nescac is by far the best league, probably lost 10-15% of the games out of conference as a league.sectional championship was actually amherst - tufts and trinity would have beat anybody else in it so whem comparing kids from mit and springfield it's like apples and oranges they didn't play the same talent night and night out. the two kids from amherst should be there but formerbant hit it on the head 2x in 4 yrs. go back and look at the play by play of amherst -springfield .... read it and you will realize who the better player is. wheeler not even mentioned is a joke.

Hoop help me out here.where are you coming up with the 3-10 thing....have you seen them play ? i looked at season stats and the only thing i see is a very balanced team. doesn't tell me anything about team depth. plenty of guys get minutes . i am wondering if you have seen them. wooster beat them 2x both games in the 80's witt won 1 game by 2 and scored 72 pts in the win. tempo will rule this game if witt can slow it and keep around there season avg, high 60's, they should win. if amherst gets out running and forces witt to chase the scoreboard jeffs should win. i haven't seen a nescac team that is 10 deep so if witt doesn't skip a beat 3-10 amherst can mail it in. sounds like you have seen these guys on more than one occasion. please let us know

lot of talk from both sides. this should be a good game strengths are opposite and weakness 's also. lot of talk about tufts but witt game was too early to take anything away from it . tuft/amherst , jeffs scored plenty against a d scheme that some say was a good one. witt doesn't want to exchange hoops at that pace .they spread it out nicely up and down the lineup but to get high 70's low 80's they'll need 2 players scoring alot more than average . they will work the ball for high % shots and that slowdown will hurt jeff tempo and try patience. will be very interesting matchup ........ witt in a close one

Dan Martin, How were Fitzgerald and Krumpf against the big boys at Witt? Did they pull down some rebounds? Were they able to get position like they did against Amherst? Was your backcourt a factor ? The box looks like everybody participated. Do you think you could have beat them later in the year? O'Shea had his best game of the year against you Friday night. Did you sense it and have you noticed he is maturing? Can he do anything against the witt guys?

penns, thank you for the good information. if they are the best defensive team in the country they should prevail. I think Amherst has trouble with talent that works hard. they have been challenged but not enough and they are not a very good rebounding team. Tufts out hustled them all over the floor able to gain position through box outs every set, even with less athletic boys. they shoot well but that should end against good defenders

hoops, olson and bedford will have their kind of games . witt has to think about this boy wheeler he is a presence. From what I read he played a wonderful game Saturday. He was / is a perfect complement to John Bedford . He was a good power force on both ends against tufts. Another amherst player emerged on Friday. O' shea was very capable against a top caliber player in Martin. That is why i was wondering in earlier posts about Martins performance vs witt.

Hoops, Have you seen Witt play ? I thought Tufts had a bad start to the season, but after taking a look they were fine. I wonder if Witt has big athletes like Tufts ? I have very much enjoyed the past two weeks having fun with you fellas. I attended Amherst - Tufts Friday. Wonderful game, good play on both ends by both teams. My hat is off to Amherst , they sucked it up when they had to. Tufts had more than one chance to seal it at the foul line and came up short...never leave the door open! I was a little bewildered with Tufts bench, led by Coach, high fiving a bit early. Saw Utica-Fisher and realized there was no need to watch Saturday. If the Utica coach subbed even a little bit it would have helped. Those boys were gassed. It was a good game 1ST half. Utica was more athletic but Fisher better coached.

I'm sure amherst fans thank you for the plug. Always nice to see conference rivals backing each other. from here on out try and limit your praising williams for past accomplishments. makes you look like a heartbroke school boy and cheapens the great year amherst had.

how is witt at perimeter defense? the big fellas from witt should have an easy time. anybody out there see witt beat tufts ? would like to know what you guys think of martin, the tufts post player. he had his way with amherst

Anybody have a rundown on Witt..... looks like a team that likes to pound to the big boys inside. I see they beat Tufts easily and it took Amherst all they had to get by the Jumbo's. How deep is this squad ? My experience tells me the depth in the NCAC is superior to most leagues,is that still the case ? Looks like Amherst scores more but it also looks like they had a pretty easy schedule. Rebounds will go to the tigers so if they shoot to season %'s they should be in good shape. Appreciate all feedback
