I believe the big man is currently hurt.  I have heard that the 6'7" 290 is not quite accurate.  I heard more like 6'5" 330 and needs to get into better shape.  He is very skilled and can contribute, but I don't know how many minutes he'll be able to play right now.  There is no doubt in my mind that Coach Todd "The Real Deal ShaCreal O'Neal" will get the Highlanders going this season and have a great freshman class next year.  If he can recruit kids to MacMurray's campus, I think he has a bright future ahead as a bigtime recruiter.

Mac split there two halves with Lewis & Clark tonight.  Mac won the first half 30-29 and lost the 2nd by like 8.  Lewis & Clark is a tough athletic juco that has had almost a month of practice.  It was sloppy but  not all that bad from the Highlanders.

Just to clarify Coach Creal's situation for going to Mac.  He was not a casualty in the firing process at MU.  Being a Millikin alum, I know that Coach Creal was asked to stay on as the assistant coach for Marc Smith.   However, Coach Creal did not feel that it would be right to work for someone at Millikin besides Coach Littrell.  He was never fired from Millikin.  He left on his own terms and is a very loyal person.

Mac also opens up the exhibition schedule tonight at D2 juco national runner-up Lewis & Clark where Coach Creal played some ball back in the 90's.  Go Highlanders!!!  I hear Coach Creal has his kilt ironed and ready to go!!

Heard that Millikin assistant Dick Marshall suffered a heart attack on Saturday night.  Hopefully everything will be alright because he is the lifeblood of the program at MU.  He is a wonderful man and I am sure he would appreciate any prayers for his family at this time.

Really looking forward to this season.  Looking for the Blueboys to have a good season.  Watch out for Freshman PG Dillon Binkley from IC.  Lock down defender that is very athletic.  Going to be a very good player in the MWC before it is said and done.

I really hope Coach Creal can get things going at Mac this season.  I think he has a tremendous energy and has proven that he can recruit in the CCIW at Millikin.  Hopefully he can do the same at Mac.  Go Highlanders!!!

Not sure how good the Big Blue will be this season.  Word on Gensler is that his playing career is done.  Also hearing some class issues may come into play with some newcomers.  Have not heard a lot of good things thus far from MU.

First thing is that I am no longer a big blue fan so please disregard the screen name.

Greg- I have a few problems with your post.  First off, Vince Brock does not have a family to support so I think you should get your facts straight before posting that.   Do not talk about something you do not know like Vince's personal situation.

Secondly, if you look deeper into the AD situation at Millikin, you can easily look back to Doug Neibuhr's stint at the helm.  Many of the programs saw a much higher win % in that time period when Lori Kerans had a different position.  I do not know what the biggest difference has been, but I have a few ideas.  I think that an AD should be supportive of her coaching staff and know that there job is secure.  Coach Neibuhr did an excellent job at the helm of the Athletic department opposed to Lori Kerans.  Also, I did not see anywhere on anyone's post where it said Lori Kerans can't coach.  I think that everyone who responded was commenting directly towards her ability to run an athletic department.

Also, I am personally close to all of the MU players and do know for a fact that many people have been unhappy since Coach Littrell's firing.  I do think that part of Gensler's decision was based on Lit getting canned as well as Vince's.  I have stated how much I admire Coach Littrell on here before and this is honestly the first time I have even visited this site in a few months.  I always enjoy reading some posters comments, but sometimes, I think that people do not have a single clue about the game or how to run a program.  That is all.  Thank you

I must say millikin33 that your comments about coach littrell are quite rude in my opinion. I know your background from your short playing days at Millikin and don't understand why you choose such hateful words and opinions about the former coach. After all, it was you who chose to go against coach littrell's wishes on your 21st birthday. I don't see how you hold coach littrell responsible for your immediate dismissal from the team. You made the bad decision and suffered the appropriate consequences. I would appreciate you ending your negatve comments and hostilities toward coach littrell from here on out and focus on the future. This personal vendetta is over! Coach Littrell is one of the best men I have ever known and I feel many posters on here have a great deal of respect for him. All of his recruits had a great appreciation for him and I am tired of your Littrell bashing! Thank you

Wasn't going to post again but wanted to mention that mu will announce their new coach on monday. May be a familiar name from a few years ago for mu. Not supposed to say who it is but I really don't care. He will definitely be hurting on the recruiting front. I think he will have a good chance to be successful.

News out of Decatur that Coach Tim Littrell has been fired.  Coach Littrell has been at Millikin as an assistant and Head Coach for the past 25 years.  Sad day for me as well as many Big Blue faithful as Coach Littrell is one of the best men I have ever known.  This will probably be my last post of the very few I have posted on here.  I have grown up around Millikin basketball and do not know if I can continue to post and watch.  I love D3 basketball and I will probably not feel the same with Coach Lit's departure.

Great win for Millikin tonight!!! That makes it two years in a row knocking off the Bluejays at Elmhurst.  Gensler had a big 2nd half getting with 18 and 23 overall.  55 points in the second half?!?!  A great team victory for the Blue with everyone playing a huge part in the victory.  Let's get hot and go for a win Saturday in Naperville!

This week's games are critical for Millikin to win.  Hosting Wheaton and North Park and winning both could keep them on life support for the time being.  The young guys inside are fighting there butts off, but have been physically overpowered the last couple games.  All 3 freshman bigs had 3 fouls in the first half at Carthage which gave them major issues.  At Carthage they started 2 freshman (Rexroade and Demby), 2 sophomores (Gensler and Brock) and senior Mike Gavic.  I think that we will continue to challenge people, but have trouble winning at the end with so many young guys.  Hopefully DG recovers from his recent shooting woes, which can be contributed to defensive pressure and being double teamed.  The Wheaton game will be tough as will North Park and hopefully, The boys in Blue will come out with two W's.

Congrats to my boy Drew Gensler on being named CCIW player of the week for the first time in his career.  Hopefully we can get a big win on Wednesday night against Augie.  Go Blue!!!
