Former Wabash LB Bryan Watson makes his debut with a professional football team in Thonon Les Bains, France tomorrow.

For what it's worth, I have often noticed persons with "clickers" noting attendance as I have entered Wabash games.  This would indicate an honest effort to document attendance I would think.

Condolences and prayers to his family and the greater MU family.

After hearing so many times about Wabash's weak league and weak schedule and how it doesn't prepare you like the SCAC...welcome to the NCAC boys.  Playing the likes of Millsaps and Trinity obviously didn't prepare you this year...

Wally...you are missing the point...I am not talking about the player...This is a coaching thing...

But the example you have used repeatedly for the last year refers to that single play that that single player (a very good one) made.  While it was surely a big play in a big game, I don't think it fair to Matt to keep on reminding him of his mistake repeatedly for the simple purpose of emphasizing your point.  He's a great kid who fought through incredible adversity to even be on the field that season.  If he's reading this blog, I would think it very insensitive to keep using that play as your whipping boy for suggesting that ER coaches an undisciplined team.

I agree that there is a penalty problem, but I also agree with Wally that it's time to let that particular play go.

Coggins is out of eligibility I believe.  For football, anyway.

Ouch.

I hope that Chase has the breakout year I think he's capable of.  I heard he ranks among the fastest returning players on the team in the 40.

I would encourage everyone to read the Butler basketball article linked above.  Nicely done!  We've attended most of the Butler home games, and I would equate the atmosphere somewhat to that of Bash home football games.  Just a good environment for college athletics.

Still missing something...

You were 3-7 last year.  Remain strong?

Must be missing something...

Remain strong....

Assuming the reporter knows what he's talking about (invalid assumption...), what would be possible motivating factors in such a move?  Money?  Promise to go to scholarship football eventually (which I've always wondered was part of Creighton's move)?  Stepping stone?  Any thoughts?

It's now been a few years since the upgrade of the facilities at Denison.  I'm wondering if the clock for on the field progress started with the upgrade, and now, 4 years later there's not been significant, sustainable improvement, so it's time to make a change?  I'm sure there were many factors involved in their decision, but their facility is no longer the barrier for recruiting it once was.

Huge congratulations to Evan Isaacs (Wabash OL) who was named to the AFCA All-America team!  Great guy, who has overcome multiple knee injuries.  Congrats also to Eddie Vallery of Witt, and Dan Whalen of Case (still high on my list after his letter to Coach Raeburn after last year's playoff game).
