agree, tufts was always a tough team

I certainiy do not follow tufts with a micrscope, so my experiences are purely personal.  but to me, it seems like the jumbos are to running as wes is to passing.  they looove to run, but have never really been able to put together the full package - great d, great run, great pass.  they usually have 1 or maybe 2, but never all 3.  on another level, maybe they have a good oline, but an average tailback, maybe a good qb, but a bad oline, great backers, average 2ndary etc.  I played them 4 times, and all I remember is "Tufts loves to run the ball."  Sounds football fundamental, but not sure if it serves them as well as a more balanced attack.  Am i totally off base here?

Maybe Trin runs more, but we win becasue we got all three components

looks like others beat me to the bunch but oh well, im posting my vent anyway..

Not sure what your agenda is in bashing the trin record.  I see you are a first time poster Trin 8(5)0, so I'll give you the benefit of the doubt, but before you come on here blazing away with that garbage, you should read the past posts.

That being said...you are trivializing the hard work and commitment of dozens of young men who worked there tail off to achieve that streak.  Trinity raised the bar in the league in terms of work ethic, coaching, and talent.  While I am sad to see the streak end, I am glad that a great team like Williams worked hard in all the aforementioned areas to achieve success.

As far as your rational for not congratulating Trinity, it is full of holes and exposes your deep ignorance and elitist attitude toward the issue.  Here is just one of the many issues discussed on this board you should ponder before spouting off the repulsive BS:  If Trinity has such a huge advantage, why has it not been the permanent powerhouse of the conference?

rooneyhufsfarts had to be put down... but it lives on in our hearts.

Couple of things.  Carpenter is not the one in China, its Butler, another dline starter from last year, but a player not on the same level as carp and lanz, who are both 1st teamers no question about it.

Also, it is a little early but i was thinkin about how many more games trin would need to break Oklahomas record 47 consecutive wins.  (i know i know mt union and others have more, but OK's 47 is the benchmark as far as im concerned).  Turns out they will need to go undefeated this season, the next, and win the first two games of the next season to beat the record.  you know what that means....we have another epic Trin vs Williams games with serious bragging rights at stake.  see yall at the Colby game
