Messages - TheEnforcer

Ah, it's been a while.

I haven't been to an actual Cortaca Jug game in a long time, precisely because of the drunk freshmen mentioned below as well as the Cortland fans who were showing up every year waving a gay pride flag that had IC embroidered into it. Every year I got into some sort of altercation with them and I decided to just quit going before I actually got into trouble. It just stopped being fun for me. The parties are actually a lot more fun - we started Cortacapital in DC, and this year will be my first Cortacal. You meet a lot of alums and everyone has a good time.

And, in other news, dig Enforcer and crew as the poster boys in today's Syracuse Post-Standard.

Go Bombers.

Long time no see, all.  First - Go IC Men's Rugby.  State champs, and still not recognized by the school.  Second - In addition to the established LA Cortaca-viewing party Cortacal, there will be an NYC party this year (NYCortaca) as well as a DC event (Cortacapital) that will likely see Enforcer, High Life, and friends finishing the evening on a terrorist watch list of some sort.  We have secured several food and beverage specials that the host establishment will surely regret. If you're in the area and looking for trouble (even you Cortland people), let me know.

<--- Needs a ride to Ithaca from Rochester for the weekend.  Only plane ticket I could get.  Anyone coming in from Tahou-land?

What's up, y'all.

I live in Memphis now, so I can say y'all.  Teaching kids.  And yes, dubbz, I can read.

Anyone have any extra Cortaca tickets?  I have one but several fellow Bomber alums couldn't make it by the time they sold out.  Thanks.

Y'all.

Put a check in the "Attending" column for myself and Mr. High Life this weekend.  If anyone wants to join him for a quick hop down to the PA border to pick my sorry behind up on gameday morning, some beers may be in order.  I can't drive in New York State and I don't like the idea of Delilah sitting at a rest stop along the side of I-81 til Monday night.

Yo!  Screw the Olympics (The Greatest Show on Earth!)...give me my Bomber football.

Despite the fact that I am not exactly welcome in Cuba *ahem* the Soviet Union *ahem* China *ahem* New York State anymore, and am working sixty-plus-hour weeks between several jobs (often in my FDC shirt, mind you... I'm drinking the "most-weathered shirt" beer this year), I'll be damned if I'm not making it home for Homecoming and Cortaca this year.  Hope everyone's been staying out of trouble, and I'll be seeing you all soon (but not nearly soon enough).

Also, check the new sig.

it could be worse for ithaca, you could play hartwick again, and lose again  and I know a salty SJF fan is not calling mount union stadium a dump compared to ithaca.
I think the bombers are mad salty joe is out of eligibility

I've never been to MUC's stadium.  But IC - stadium, college, town - is NICE.  And I take great offense to anyone even implying that the school I graduated from, the town I currently reside in, or the football stadium I spend my Saterdays standing in  is a dump.  Fine institution, fine town, fine team.

Also, anybody else gonna back me up if I go out and say that this guy is a player?  He's about on par with most of the current players we've seen post on here.  "Mad salty"?  Come on, dude.

Just throwing in my two cents on the IC/MUC game this Saterday:

The way IC has played the past few weeks has given me obscene amounts of confidence in this team.  All of what I consider to be the basics has been very impressive - the running game, pass protection, defense, DJ's leadership, etc.  And if we've learned anything at all from college football this season, it should be that there's a reason they actually play these games.  I've been reading an awful lot of MUC ball-washing, and perhaps it's merited, perhaps it's not - I've never seen them play in person.  But on Saterday in Alliance, there will be a football game played.  Two very talented teams of very hungry players will show up at the stadium, whistles will be blown, balls will be snapped, plays will be run, points will be scored, etc.  And when the dust settles, we'll have a winner.  We can talk and talk about who's better - and believe me, I like the talk as much as anyone - but there will be a game played, and factors that no one can see coming will impact that game.

Basically, it's anyone's game for the winning.  Go Bombers.

Enforcer's been to Sunset.  Owned by Matt, the same guy that owns Mahogany.  Nice, although a waitress got upset when I kept asking her to get me more sugar for my iced tea.  They only had like 2 packets on the table and each time I asked her for more, she'd only bring me two more.  I need at least 8.

Also, go Bombers.  Godd*mmit.

In regards to the parking issues in Bomberland, I remember last year a certain...select...vehicle...parking in its designated spot the night before...and never causing a problem.  It was my understanding (as explained by NSRB, if I'm not mistaken) that the reason for the police presence at the gate was because an IC parent complained when she showed up half an hour late for the fisher game and couldn't find a spot, mostly because of the far-too-many fisher fans in the home tailgate lot and not because of a lowly old green pickup.  Regardless, some creativity will be in order.

Dudes, it's not like I ever pay parking tickets anyways.  I could wallpaper my room in them.

Sorry for the absence.  Sure I was missed horribly.

I have a friend who's a starting receiver for Cortland.  He's giving all of the Cortaca tickets he got to friends of his, and telling them to sit in the Bomber stands and target me specifically.

Sounds like the Enforcer might have to do some enforcing come Cortaca.
