Congratulations to St. Scholastica on your new football program.  I look forward to seeign it down the road.

Congratulations to St Scholastica!

I assume that this will permit Principia to return to the South Division in 2008, and give a divisional line-up such as this.

North -- Crown, Martin Luther, Minn-Morris, Northwestern MN and St Scholastica

South -- Blackburn, Eureka, Greenville, MacMurray, Prinicipia, Westminster MO.

I would agree that these teams will be how things are split up.  How long do you think it will take Scholastica to become competitive.

Jon Butler if you are out there, we have the Saints Bowl coming up this weekend with the NWC vs Crown game.

I talked to a SJU coach who said there are guys who are at practice that never participate in anything, they just stay at the back of the line. Point being is they want to have the Johnnie experience without having to put the type of energy in that the top dogs do. This isn't a rip on the Johnnies this is just a fact that there are some kids in the program who want to go home and tell there friends that they are a Johnnie, the program has the reputation where they can do that and that is a pretty neat thing.

NWC isn't trying to get into the MIAC, they never have made that there goal. Limited budgets and desiring to play competition that is highly respected has been more the goal than anything. Having played and coached at NWC I have seen the program grow into a respected program that can compete with a large number of teams. Don't misunderstand me when I say compete and beat. They did beat Augsburg up pretty good, but that team will finish at the lower half of the MIAC, as would NWC if they were in the conf. I think NWC and other teams in the UMAC know that they will be playing for a chance to go into the playoffs in a couple of years so you have to play better teams to understand what playoff teams are like. I know the odds are the UMAC/SLIAC will be a one and done in the playoffs but you still have to prepare for the time if it should come.

I thought NWC won the physical battle, they pounded Augsburg on Saturday. If the throwback is caught on the KO Return NWC wins by three scores.

Sounds like NWC did pretty well. The Thomforde kid was able to do what he wanted.
