Congratulations from Martha and Joe.  The first woman chancellor and the "First, first Gentleman".  We cannot express our pride in the team, coaches and staff of our D3 University.  Paul, Lance, Justin, A. J. and the entire team have made us and the entire county proud!!!  Enjoy the fruits of your labor.

Any thoughts on the recruiting prospents for UWW this year?

No news yet about Kleppe's plans, but given his major (Phys. ED) a role here in Whitewater would be a wonderfull development!!  Two Gagliardi finalists on the sidelines again next year would add a nice touch to the season.

Agreed, and also for the idea of getting back to the important issues.  The most important being the scholar-athletes that have given fans such a wonderful run in the last two years.  We should all be thankfull for their efforts and devotion to the Warhawk tradition.

The true supporters will encourage all players to look forward to next year and work to keep the momentum all the way to the Stagg bowl in "07!!!

The news about the possible new head coach for the UWW Warhawks is not as much of a suprise as some seem to think.  The goal was to get the best candidate to take the program to the next level.

The sucess of the last two years show that the players, coaching staff and administration have all contributed in their own way.   It seems that the current head coach, defensive staff and player talent this year had as much to do with the sucess as the current offense coordinator (it is a team effort, after all).

Prior to the last two years, the success of UWW over previous 14 years has been average at best, winning three conference titles compared to UWW La Crosse winning 8.

It would be a shame to lose any of the current coaching staff (offense or defense), but a record setting quaterback and hall of fame member that has gained experience with other sucessfull programs at different levels might be what is needed to move to the next level.

Good luck to Bob, Stan, Brian and alll the Warhawks!!!

Olinemom,

I do not know yet if I will be able to get to the Corn Beef and Co. on Friday, but will give it a try.  I will be with the team, and the one with a camera hanging on his neck.  I will make a point of finding you sometime during the weekend.  Maybe I can trade you some extra brownies for a copy of the photo with you and Brez.

There is something very wrong with the AFAC all american selections.  How can the talent on the UWW team be overlooked????

I join everyone else in looking forward to the D3 selections.

Kkeppe named one of four finalists for Gagliardi award.

Pat,

On a more positive note, can you confirm that four regional "finalist" are going to be announced for the "Gagliardi"?  I read that they should be announced today.  I am not clear on the four regionalist idea since the 10 finalist were not evenly distributed between regions.  Can you help clear this up for me?  Thanks.

Weather in Whitewater as of 8:30AM.

Whitewater is a winter wonderland, about 8 to 10 inches and coming down like crazy.  Coach Brez planned on having a crew on the field at 4:00 AM to start sweeping the tarps (the field has been covered),  but they are going to have a hard time keeping ahead of this snow.

Good luck to all Johnnie fans travelling, BE CAREFULLl!!!

Duffman,

I am pretty sure the WW Warhawk is copyrighted also, but since this is all in good fun I don't think the copyright police will be looking for either one of us.

Duffman,

Sorry for the copyright infringement, but since the rat will be dinner on Saturday it won't matter any longer.

If you make it to the game, you can take the picked bones back for a proper burial.

The weather forcast for the next few days is looking kinda like winter.  The game Saturday will not be as pleasant (weather wise) as last week.  All you Johnnie fans drive carefully and hlep us "pack the Perk".

I think the "Hawk" is hungry!!!
