Geez nice work fellas with the 10 pages of dialogue that I have to catch up on.  It is always nice to see the offseason activity.  I am going to react over the next couple of posts.

Even if done with tounge in cheek, to say that the backups at Simpson would start for every other team in the conference is ignorant.  Especially when all of the Simpson starters would not start for every team in the conference. 

I think it is just the assumption that it should be a give in that the MVP is a first team selection.

As the conference season is almost over, I wanted to see opinions for post-season awards.

if you want to partake, know that the conference MVP does not go on the first-team per IIAC.

If Loras wins out, they will be the #1 seed in the tourney no matter if BV loses another game or not.  BV's loss to Coe will be the tiebreaker in that situation.  They tie in the standings, split with each other, and then (assuming Coe locks up the 3 seed) Loras gains the tiebreaker by sweeping Coe and BV splitting with the Kohawks.

I just heard that Zak Clark was playing with a heavy heart last night.  He lost someone close to him on Tuesday night.  He played great and with great emotion in Eby Fieldhouse on Wednesday. 

Thoughts and prayers go out to the Clark family. 

Zak Clark had a shot to win it at the buzzer.  IT looked dead on out of his hand..........glad he didnt make it.  Great game to watch.

Clark and DeHoog are tough.  One of the best guard combos in the conference.  I like them both as competitors and they had a big time upper hand in tonight's match-up with Coe's guards.

Staker basically got stiffed by Coe.   Charlie, if John Chandler is such a genius then why has Coe never won the All-Sports trophy?  Why don't they have any better facilities as a result of his great relationship with all the wealthy alumni?

Staker could have got the job done in recruiting.

I would agree that Coach Staker got stiffed but I do think Chandler is a great AD.  He cares about the athlete which is what you want if you're a player.   His hands are just tied!   Coe really missed and opportunity here by not at least letting him interview.   What do you think will happen now if he stays on staff? 

and Charlie, there is at least one of the candidates that is an O-Coordinator and has never been a head coach, can you guess which one?

Nothing beat Jack Buck and Mike Shannon calling a Cardinals game.  And I am not even a Cards fan.  Growing up in the country outside I didnt have cable.........there was a Cardinals affiliate close so I got to listen to a lot of games that way.  Nothing make you a baseball fan more than if you grew up listening to the game on the radio.

I loved Bob Costas doing NBA games during Jordan's heyday as well.

How about this..........Cornell essentially spots Coe 2 points every time they play in Mt Vernon......?  Does that work for you?
