Pretty neat little story about Pete that I came across today.  Once again, congratulations to all WIAC athletes for representing the conference!!

It doesn't say if he signed a contract or not, just stated that he was very impressive during the mini camp and Coach Anderson (running backs coach) is going to want to take a closer look at him before training camp.  There was a blog from one of the mini camp practices that stated he proved to be very elusive and picked up on the offense extremely quick.

Training camp typically starts at the end of July and that is the preseason.  Did they say if he would be back for OTA's?  I heard that Schmitt will be moving out to Washington D.C. in a little over a week.  This is when players, who sign, will report back to the team.  Is he going to sign soon?, or was he impressive, but just good enough to make the cut??

If I'm right, OTA's are training sessions with the team as well as several practices a week.  The team will typically install much of the playbook in these sessions leading up to the mini camps which are held in June.  Idk why the Bengals would have OTA's starting that late in June.

To attend OTA's players will typically be on the roster.  Did Englebert sign a contract with the Bengals or did they say he has a chance of maybe coming back??...I also haven't heard if Wendt was coming back

I usually keep quiet on these things, but I felt obligated to reply to this post.  I don't think the negativity helps out this situation at all clownshow.  We should all be behind these guys in continuing their football careers.  Maybe their chances are slim, but let's keep rooting for the to make the WIAC proud.  I talked to people who actually attended the pro day and they said everyone looked very impressive catching the ball and even a few of the guys stood out in the agility drills.  With that being said, good luck to Stanley, Schmitt, Wendt and Engelbert.  Prove all your critics wrong and show them that you can play with the elite.

I hope clownshow isn't who I think it is, b/c the spelling and negativity seems eerily familiar to a past poster.....and if it is him, he knows very little about the situation

I haven't said anything on this website for a while but things are starting to irritate me.  I see some other people feel the same way.  First off, Footballfan1997, we all know who you are and you need to grow up.  You are not associated with Warhawk football, so don't try to act like it and try to bring people down, along with the program.  We know when you change your name.  It's not that hard to figure it out (hint, spelling).

Anyways...I am disappointed that Coach Z did not get the job and wish him the best of luck.  He is a great man and will surely succeed in whatever he decides to next.  Thanks for all the memories.  You had more to do with the success of UWW than people ever would imagine.

It's too bad that the program is being broken apart at the pinnacle of it's success.  Hopefully the new era of UWW football will be as good as the last 22 years were.

Good point regarding Raebel and Widuch at LB for the Warhawks.  Both players will be major forces against the Titans on Saturday night.  And let's not forget the man at DT for the Hawks, Kleppe.  I wouldn't be surprised if he made a comeback appearance on the field after he suffered a broken arm in week 1.  Should be a great game!!

GO HAWKS!!!
