Saturday's Amherst/WNEC game was pretty exciting for such an early season match-up. WNEC played a good game. They've got a nice motion offense, but were lacking big men to match-up with the Jeffs. Amherst had a solid second half. Their offense looked crisp as they started the half with at least a 17-3 run. WNEC was getting open shots, but the shots just weren't falling. A lack of rebounding made it tough. WNEC's point guard had a great defensive game against Olsen.
The four-headed monster that is the Amherst front court really looks good. I feel sorry for any big man that has to weather the constant wave of fresh bodies that Amherst send out there.
