Observer, you make some good points...but they are the same points that I am making, so at least we now know that you didn't go to KC or you would have recieved that stellar education that showed you how to understand content when you read.  My point exactly kids go to Kenyon to recieve quality education- Not because they are good at football.  Kids go to other NCAC schools to get a well rounded education, to learn more about their sports, to develope socially and to go to class.  Believe it or not they have realized that there is more to life that just reading.
You say that if anyone went to school to play football they would go D-1 but that is where you are wrong.  Many students are very good football players but might be slightly undersized or have a bit slower 40 time.  It doesn't mean that thay are no good, it just means thay would reather see playing time for 4 years rather than wait for a NFL prospect to play out his carreer first.
As I said, also, i don't see a clear winner yet for the NCAC and I love how equal some of our schools are.  If they were all like that including KC it would only make the season that much more interesting.  Lets hope they get better, but lets not go on and call any of these students idiots, KC WOO and Witt all had players make Academic all district, not just KC and besides aren't we all here to discuss football and the conference (the point of my first post) lets leave the name calling to the student sections at the games and thier silly chants.

Hey everyone.  I first want to tell you how entertaining the "posting war" is every weekend.  I love to see the posts pre and post game time.  It is great!  Just wanted to add a quick note over the championship debate.  First off I personally think it is too early to worry about 3 and 4 way ties, well i guess it is never TOO early, but really let's let some things play out.  With that said though I don't know who should win.  Neither Wabash or Witt took charge of the game last weekend, Witt/wooster was not enough to have me picking a NCAC champion yet, we know it is going to be interesting.  However I am willing to say that regardless of policy Kenyon does not have a place in this debate.  We all know that students go to college for many reasons.  D-1 athletes go to college for sports and a scholarship, D-3 athletes go to college for the love of the game and social experience (in addition to education of course).  When a student is selecting a college they look at what fits them best.  Kenyon is a great school, but it you want to go to college "to play football" in the NCAC you DON'T go to Kenyon.  Some of their players are probably good, but if they had the true competitive spirit they would thrive on the challenge of playing the tougher teams.  Earlier posters mention that the students there now didn't pick the schedule, but they did go on a college visit and they knew the school they were going to was not promising in the field of football.  Congrats Kenyon you won a few games.  Continue to recruit maybe in 10 years your program will have a different story but right now you should not represent the NCAC and I hate to say that if you do you'll get what is coming to you and i don't think it will be pretty.  Give it time to develop.  the time is just not now.
