What are the expert opinions on the better game to attend this weekend: CUW v Bethel or WLC v Northwestern?

With the UW-Madison program having a bit of a bump in the road with the recruting violations, I think it would be poetic justice if Bret Bielema, incensed that someone from the student paper wrote about his assistants' missteps, announced: "The door is closed. I have Leipold's number. Go cover UW-Whitewater. That should be fun."

Anyone know if there are still tickets available for either of the locations for tonight's games? Elmhurst's web site seems to be non-functioning at the moment, so a quick search there bore no fruit. I might make the trip south of the border for one of the two pods, but don't want to navigate the roadway jungle that is Chicago if there will be no space for me.

Anyone who watched the Badgers at Indiana had to see the giant photos of faces of certain people. It certainly wasn't the first time its been done or the last. I have to give props to the O-Zone last night, as a few students had some of those of Coach Combs and it looked like Curt Hanson...nice touch.
The Marquette Golden Eagle student section started the huge head phenomenon roughly four years ago. And it chaps many hides that Tan Tommy seems to have brought the practice to Bloomington with him.

Forget Donovan, the most important question regarding the Stout @ Whitewater game is:
Will the UWW band finally get some new material or is everyone going to have to struggle through the exact same routine for the 4th week in a row?

I believe you are thinking of Steve Novak's little brother, but I'm not certain. I know he transferred away from No.Mich or Mich Tech.

I have to journey south of the border to drop a family member off at O'Hare on Saturday morning. Would it be worth my time to take a slight detour off 94 on my return trip to see Lake Forest v. Grinnell? I realize they are sub .500 teams, but is it at least a cool place to see a game?

Didn't Trevor Stratton play for Carroll about 3-4 years ago for one season? I always wondered what happened to him. How much eligibility is he going to have?

I've never been too big of a fan of wearing internet-purchased team/college clothing....it seems a little bit like cheating to me. Wearing a Hardin Simmons or Cal Lutheran shirt that you purchased in Abilene or Thousand Oak is certainly better (more honorable even??) than wearing one that you bought through an online warehouse or Steve & Barry's type store.

Agreed. I watched the old Milwaukee Auditorium get torn down with a wrecking ball...much more entertaining than the methodical technique being used in LaCrosse.

UWL has apparently filled out their 2008 schedule with a road trip to Grand Forks, North Dakota to face the UND Fighting Sioux.
