Olinemom,

Thank you again for the brownies, they are absolutely amazing.  It means alot when someone from a different school or location supports you.

I was probably one of the first to come up to you when you were standing by the WW buses.  I wanted to say thanks and reached out to shake your hand, and instead got a hug.  I said that we'd be back.

My post isn't about the game, or just to thank you once again.  I was wondering if the recipe for those brownies is a family secret, or one that can be shared.   ;D

If you wish I would be willing to work out a swap.  I have adapted one of my mom's recipes to create what I believe is a pretty tasty mint brownie.  It has a layer of brownie, a layer of green mint frosting, and a top layer of chocolate frosting.  The middle green layer gives it an attractive presentation to go along with the taste.  If you want to swap send me a PM.  If the recipe is a secret I understand.

Thank you again for the support and the great tasting brownies.

uww0212: About 1998 Albion, a MIAA team, won the Stagg Bowl.

You're kind of missing the point.... or I guess I could have worded it differently.  Refer to the right side of the front page, bout halfway down.

Kind of a what have you done for me lately thing.... a lot has changed since 1994.

How about Kmic trying to break Beaver's rushing record.  Kind of ironic that he happens to be trying to do it against WW.

You wanted to talk about the game.... that's a pretty good storyline.

The MIAA has never won a playoff game.

Alma finished 2nd in the MIAA.... Hope, who won the conference went 7-0 in conference games and 0-4 in non conference.

I'm not meaning to attack Josh Brehm, but talk to me when you put up numbers against even average competition.

Pat,

I know you have connections now.... just cuz they don't publish it doesn't mean it can't be found out. ;)

I would have to think it was close, several people have stated that they voted for Kleppe and there are only 30 some odd votes.  I'm curious to see just how close it was.

6-4
OT vs Eau Claire

Kleppe dominated the best two teams we played this year.

NUFF SAID

Pat,

Is the final voting released for the Gagliardi.  Will they release total votes or specific ballots?

The WIAC feels your pain on the AFCA team.

Top 2 teams in the nation get 1 selection between them.

Kmic and Kleppe not on that team is a joke.

One last thing.....hmmm...seems like both teams might be playing things pretty close to the vest regarding injuries huh?   ;D

You must mean Rueland... He broke and dislocated his ankle.  I could have swore that was clearly stated on the injury report.  ;D

OK, Now that I have settled down this Coach's All-American team is simply a joke. Let's take the offensive line......what is being said that some guys from Willamette, Wooster, Washington and Jefferson are better than Jason Lewis and Max Sakellaris from Mount Union and Whitewater. The defensive lineman are all better than Ryan Kleppe.....The backs are better than Beaver and Kmic? Doesn't it matter that Whitewater plays in what is regarded as one of the best conferences and Sakellaris for instance is a three time first team pick and has started every game (49) in his four years.I am willing to bet that not one of these alleged all-americans can say that. Absolutely ridiculous. Shame on the AFCA for such a poor job.You have lost total credibility to D3........

With a backfield that was decimated with injuries during the regular season, Max anchored an o-line that allowed 3 different backs to have 100 yard rushing games.  Overcoming that adversity to still put up the rushing numbers that we have this year says a lot about our o-line.  Combine that with the career that Max has put together..... your right.... it's an absolute JOKE!!!

Pretty hard to imagine that between the top two teams in the nation there is only 1 all american.  Even the one that got chosen probably didn't even have the best year on his own team.  I'm pretty sure that the majority of MU fans would probably say that Kmic had the better year of the two.

I'm assuming Kleppe is a slight favorite to win the Gagliardi.  If he does your going to tell me that the winner of that award isn't even an all american.

_______________

As for the two deep... there are a few things on there that aren't exactly accurate.... what exactly those things are.... i'll leave to your imagination ;)

Maybe if his hand wasn't broken he could have dove...

Yep, that's what I was thinking. He could have caught it with full effort but not if he wasn't willing/able to lay out.

I believe it was closer on the replays than you make it sound.

I was watching the first quarter on the internet feed and I thought that he probably could have gotten to that ball.  The play just looked odd, he would have had to dive for it, but i think if he lays out he gets his hands on it.

The other "drop" he got hit pretty quickly after the ball got there, so that might have caused it, but that was catchable too.

I'm not sure giving out information on who a coach nominated is the right thing to do at all, and at least not while the season is still going on.

I agree, I don't think that information should have been posted.  On the front page there is a discussion about a parent who sent in a ranting letter, you blocked out all names and school affiliation, but then in here you call out Brez and confirm that specific players were not nominated.

I love your insight into things Pat, but I don't think that was handled well.

Waiting for Saturday is brutal.  We should just play tomorrow... Wesley will be in town.

I like his hustle if the play isn't going right to him, but I saw him get winded vs. UMHB too.

The defense being on the field for about 40 minutes that game combined with Whitewater going from 30 degree temps to upper 80's is a tough combination.

My parents also live in the "boondocks" of Wisconsin.  My mom called our cable provider (Dish Network) to see if they are carrying the game.  She was told that the game would air on CSTV (Which is channel 152 at our location)  I'm assuming that CSTV is College Sports?  Not sure.

This is just what our local provider told my parents, not sure if it is true or not.  Anyone else have info on this?
