Mr. Roop:

I am new here, I will try to remember that.   I went and read some of Mr. Sager's posts and they are rather verbose.  But he seems like he wields a lot of power here.

Beloit suffered another big loss to Augustana today 69-52.   With Whitewater coming up next, Beloit doesn't have too good a chance to win this one either.

Marian had a four-point lead going into the last quarter, and they were down by a single possession with under twenty seconds left in the game.

Mr. Sager, I thought they played two halves of 20 minutes in NCAA ball?

PS:

Ripon's team was so selfish in 2005/2006 that Coach Gillespie petitioned the MWC to allow their games to be played with 2 balls at a time so there were enough shots for all his players.  ::)

Bo Johnson does look a little lile George Gervin, come to think of it.  :D

I think the Point fan's view of the game is accurate.  LU did not play aggressively inside in the first half and did so in the second half.  Point got a lot of easy inside hoops in the first half, real easy, and had to work for their shots in the second half--I think part of the reason for the stats analysis above is LU defense.

The team is young and showed a lot of heart coming back fromwhat could have been an embarrassing blowout.  Hell, that Page shot could have fell for the win, easily.

I know the LU fans were dissapointed in losing but very pleased with the poise shown and look forward to the MWC season.  No one is talking 25 wins if that is insinuated in your comments.

I'm sure Point will see LU down the road.

That comment about LU handling Point if this was later in the year is amusing.

I don't think there is much basis in fact in that comment either.  I am an LU fan but believe it would be a dogfight next time too.  Point is much better in a dogfight since they are, after all,  dogs.  ;D

Point outlasts LU 70-67.

Great defense by Point, made LU earn most shots.

I expect Point will be a force in WIAC.

Krull had 27, great offensive show but not a clean player, lots of flops and a little whiney. I'd nip that if I was Semling.

Point will be Top 10 next poll, maybe Top 5.

I predict Point crushes Oshkosh.
